Palawan is a long, narrow island in the west of the Philippines. Its natural environment and opportunities for adventure are attracting more and more tourists. The Amazon-like jungle of the island’s inland region is one of the Philippines’ ecological sites. Palawan is also surrounded by thousands of other beautiful islands and has therefore been called a utopia by the sea. Puerto Princesa (meaning Princess Port) is the capital of Palawan. The town is home to a world-famous underground river park. Palawan is surrounded by islands of varying sizes and is a paradise for diving and snorkeling.

Puerto Princesa Underground River, Palawan: An Adventure in a World Heritage Site
#Travel Guide
The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, one of Palawan's most iconic attractions, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
Its total length is approximately 24 kilometers, with approximately 8 kilometers open to boat exploration.
Explorations are conducted via small boat with a guide.
You'll navigate the river through the dark cave,
and admire the mystical landscape of stalagmites and stalactites.
Advance reservations are required for admission and tours,
and strict environmental protection regulations prevent access outside designated areas.
The cave's interior is humid and cool, a world completely different from the hot Palawan weather outside.
In the unlit areas, you'll rely on the guide's flashlight,
making the experience even more mysterious and adventurous.
If you want to truly experience nature on your Palawan trip, the Puerto Princesa Underground River Tour is a must-do!

Palawan | Seafood Candlelight Dinner A Happy Family Feast.
In the evening, we went to a restaurant recommended by a friend—Alpendre. This meal truly satisfied me! The restaurant's signature seafood porridge is excellent.
The lobster meat is fresh, sweet, and tender, with every bite bursting with rich ocean flavors. My husband also enjoyed it.
My husband doesn't eat seafood, so he ordered meat. The texture is firm, the portion is generous, and it's also very delicious. The fish cakes recommended by the restaurant are also worth trying. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but be careful of fish bones when eating, especially when giving them to children.
After the meal, we felt full and satisfied.

🏝El Nido is a land favored by nature. The crystal-clear sea water, like blue gems, sparkles charmingly under the sunlight. The white sandy beaches are fine and soft, making you feel like you are walking on clouds.
🐠Diving underwater, you are surrounded by colorful corals and various tropical fish, as if you have entered a mysterious underwater world.

It’s not that you can’t afford to go to Maldives, but Palawan is more cost-effective!
It's not that I can't afford to go to Maldives, but Palawan is more cost-effective!
Here there are blue glass seas, fine sandy beaches, and unique landforms... It seems like a lost paradise secret, known as the "Utopia on the Sea"
When coming to Palawan, many people will hesitate to choose El Nido or Coron Island, so I stayed up late today to organize this super detailed guide, so you don't have to worry after reading it!!
📍 El Nido
The scenery is more beautiful, with a variety of ecosystems, such as tropical rainforests, mangroves, white beaches, coral belts, etc., and it is also famous for its hidden lagoons, palm forests and cruising far from the coast. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Puerto Princesa is the provincial capital and there is nothing much to do there. It is very far to El Nido and Coron, so it is not recommended. There are few flights to El Nido. To Coron, you usually fly directly to Manila or Cebu, and then fly directly from Manila/Cebu to Coron Busuanga Airport. If you have any questions about island travel, you can contact me. Pamuayan Waterfall - Port Barton
Pamuayan waterfall is a must-visit spot in Port Barton, San Vicente. It is located just 15 minutes away from town by motorbike.
This incredible waterfall has a large cascade and a deep pool where you can swim and relax.
The spot wasn’t crowded during our visit, less than 10 people were there. We had a really good time.
Totally recommended!

Avatar-like landscape of Palawan
In awe seeing the Avatar-like landscapes and beaches of the Philippines for the first time.
I went to the Philippines during the typhoon season (July) this year with all my fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I needed to witness the landfall of two typhoons almost simultaneously in the country which kinda messed up my travel plans quite a lot.
Arriving in Palawan was an adventure. We hopped in a propeller plane amidst a whirling typhoon on the Northeastern part of the Philippines, though the flight went really well. But the story didn’t end up there. As we arrived in the nearby town, we we’re informed that the boats weren’t allowed to sail to these islands due to a gale warning.
So we waited for days and were checking our phone every 7am to know the advice from the local coast guard if the boats were permitted to sail on the day.
On the 3rd day, the weather unexpectedly went „okay“ and we received the green light to sail.
Though the weather was very gloomy, we were still surprised how clear and blue the waters are and we’re very glad to be able to witness the beauty of this place.
So never give up on something that excites you! Because trust me, at the end of the day, it will be all worth it.

Wanderlust Woes: Longing for the Good Ol' Days 🌴🌊💔
You know that feeling when you discover a place that steals your heart and leaves you yearning for more? That's exactly what happened when I visited El Nido in the Philippines. From the moment I set foot on its shores, I was captivated by its raw beauty and enchanting landscapes. The turquoise waters, the untamed beaches, and the breathtaking sunsets. No filter could do justice to the sheer magnificence of this place. So, can I go back now? Can I immerse myself once again in the magic of El Nido, in the warmth of the people, and in the sense of adventure that fills the air?
historical Taytay Palawan
Getting There - From Puerto Princesa, you can take a shuttle van or bus going to Taytay which will take around four hours. These vans and buses depart from Puerto Princesa airport and San Jose Terminal several times per day.
The road from Puerto Princesa to Taytay is paved and in good conditions. It’s a long drive, but there are places along the way where you can stop over to eat sometime or go to the toilet.
City Attraction - perfect place to disconnect yourself from these unnecessary distractions. After all, you went on vacation for yourself. Taytay’s scenic destinations will make you focus on the moment. The town will make you appreciate the little things you may have taken for granted.Alongside its rich biodiversity lies the town’s colorful history. Taytay’s was the favorite destination of oriental seafarers. Some of them became the early settlers of the town. Taytay’s locals traded with businessmen from China and Borneo and made the town flourish. Before the Spaniards came, well-known natives wore silk clothes and used fine ceramics, and decorated plates and bowls from China. When the Spaniards came in 1622, another era of Taytay’s history was born. The Fuerza Santa Isabel de la Paragua and the Santa Monica Parish were built by the locals. Both relics of the past stand up to this day and etched Taytay on the map of Palawan. You can stay in Taytay for a few days and you’ll still be left with islands and places you haven’t seen yet. Taytay is vastly covered with beaches, mountains, and waterfalls. Each place you visit offers a different experience. You will remember the crystal blue beaches and fine white sand. Waterfalls hide inside the thick forest. Sunsets are always different in town. Purple and orange hues fill the sky as tiny mud crabs leave their burrows. You cannot miss such an occasion to bask under the fading sunlight.Lake Manguao · Canique Falls · Bacuit Bay Brewhouse · Malampaya Ecotours .

Hidden gem of Coron - Black Island
#2023travelwish
It would be an understatement to say this place is absolutely stunning. Anyone staying in Busuanga should take a trip here.
Black Island is a little out of the ways, farther out west from Coron Town Proper. It’s on the west side of Busuanga Island.
There are some tours that will group the Safari and Black Island together, but we didn’t want to look around elsewhere. We wanted to spend majority of our time on Black Island so we got there ourselves.
We rented a bike in town and drove about 2 hours west to Ocam Ocam beach, where we parked our bike and found a family that owned a bangka or a boat. We hired their boat to take us to the island which took another 30 minutes. However, be mindful that depending on the tide, you may not be able to leave to the island right away.
On Black Island, you can visit a few caves, one of which has a crystal clear pool of water inside. While it is very refreshing to jump in, there are lots of mosquitoes so you may want to be quick. The next best thing is the beach. The landscape of black rocks is stunning but the water and the reef underwater is beyond beautiful. The captain will wait for you on the boat until you are done with your time there. Then you can take the boat back to Ocam Ocam.

My Own Choice of Island Hopping in Coron
Coron Palawan has a-lot to see and explore the beauty of untouchable nature. My 3 days visit in Coron I personally chose the following via private boat rented 3,000pesos for the whole day.
📍Twin Lagoon
📍Baracuda Lake
📍Banul Beach
📍Kayangan Lake
#beachlife
Twin Lagoon in Coron Palawan
Twin Lagoon is that place that you would not want to miss when you visit Coron.
Twin Lagoons is about an hour by boat from the city of Coron. This place is amazing, crystal clear blue water and lot of limestone cliffs. Must see in Coron.
Barracuda Lake in Coron Palawan
Barracuda Lake, situated on the north shore of Coron Island in the Philippines.
This lake is also commonly referred to as the “craziest dive site in the Philippines.” The lake was named Barracuda due to discovering a giant barracuda skeleton within its waters. Keep in mind that the barracuda still occupy these waters, and it is likely that you will encounter them.
Barracuda Lake can be reached by renting a boat or getting a tour package from resorts based in Coron Town on Busuanga Island. You can also book in advance from various tour operators that offer Coron Island Hopping tours.
the Last of the Last Frontier
Balabac is one of the must visit municipalities of Palawan. The islands are worth it to go to. Clean water, fine sand and delicious seafoods. Even if it's a long trip to each island, you won't get bored. The people there are fun to be with and talk to. Tips for those going to Balabac, it is better to have a tourist guide who lives there because they know more about what is needed before traveling. As for securing your plane tickets, it is better to use trip.com for quick transactions that will save you money with great customer service. Highly recommended.
Hidden islands truly have a unique beauty. Balabac has a special place in my heart and will surely go back not only to visit another island but also to visit again the friendships formed during a few days of stay there. The Last of the Last Frontier is definitely worth the visit.#islandhopping

Paradise Found 💚
One of the most beautiful island in Balabac, surrounded by crystal clear water, Onok island is one of the most sought island in south of Palawan.
Lualhati Park in Coron Palawan
Most of the tricycle driver will include this as a part of the town tour. A small park, few mins walking distance from the town. The park can be found near the old Market. you could get to see a good view of Coron Island from this place.

On our way to Palawan Puerto Princesa Island!
on our way to Palawan Puerto Princessa island on a flight with many beautiful views!
One of the clearest waters we have ever seen! let the fun begin.
Places to visit in Puerto Princesa town
Puerto Princesa is the biggest city in Palawan. It is also where you can fly into to get to El Nido. The town itself isn’t too big. It’s a good size for you to go around by yourself with a motorbike. There is the Plaza Cuartel, which is a historical site where American soldiers were burned to death by the Japanese. There is no entrance fee. Right next to this place is the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. It is beautiful from the outside but I didn’t get to go in because I didn’t want to disturb the mass they were having. I am also not really sure if you can enter and look around when there is no service going on. These two places are usually part of the city tour package if you book one, but honestly, you can visit these yourself easily.
