🏝️ After lunch, we decided to explore the surroundings. We took a relaxing walk along the beach, and as we strolled, we were captivated by the local charm. Our walk led us all the way to the village of Nungwi. 🛖 When we reached the village, it was a true delight. There are several shops selling unique souvenirs, as well as small restaurants offering traditional Zanzibar cuisine. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we spend hours just soaking in the sights, sounds, and colours of this vibrant little village!
🍽️ In the evening, we had the pleasure of dining at Z Zanzibar, a charming restaurant known for its delectable dishes and amazing ambiance. The dinner was truly a highlight. With a cozy rustic setting and incredible ocean views, it provided the perfect atmosphere for enjoying fresh seafood and traditional Zanzibar flavours. It was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. #foodie
Tips for travellers:
- If you are walking along the beach to reach Nungwi, wear comfortable shoes and bring some sunscreen, as it can get quite hot.
- Bargaining is part of the experience, so feel free to haggle a little if you are purchasing souvenirs.
Nungwi is a must-visit if you are in Zanzibar. The combination of stunning beaches, local culture and the warmth of the people made this experience unforgettable.
