Places to visit in Mymensingh: 1. Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) 2. Bau Botanical Garden 3. Shashi lodge 4. Moktagachha Jamidar Bari Getting There - From Dhaka you will find Bus. Best option to go there is using Train. In Mymensingh you may use Rickshaw or Local bus. At first you may go to Shahi lodge. Then you can start for Muktagachha. For budget friendly option you may use local bus But if you want a comfortable ride you should use CNG. Visit Muktagachha Jamidar Bari, eat Manda. Take your lunch there. Then come back to Mymensingh city. Visit Bangladesh Agriculture University and botanical garden. A day is enough for Mymensingh. Food & Restaurants - Mymensingh is famous for a Sweet item. It is known as Manda (Muktagachhar Manda)

First visit for work here. Had a great experience. similar to India in a few things very different in others. The highlight of the trip was eating the local cuisine and visiting off beat places bit your regular tourist places. And it sure was refreshing and fun. Bangladesh is a warmer country than I expected hence we had to have tons and tons of fresh tender coconut water. but it was an experience never to be forgotten and thanks to my dear friend we are something called Jambura or Grapefruit with mustard oil and seasonings.
