The Crusader Castle Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The famous Byblos Citadel
The castle was built by the Crusaders in the 12th century from indigenous limestone and the remains of Roman structures. The finished structure was surrounded by a moat. It belonged to the Genoese Embriaco family, whose members were the Lords of Gibelet from 1100 to the late 13th century. Saladin captured the town and castle in 1188 and partially dismantled the walls in 1190. Later, the Crusaders recaptured Byblos and rebuilt the fortifications of the castle in 1197. In 1369, the castle had to fend off an attack from Cypriot vessels from Famagusta.
The Byblos Castle has distinguished historical buildings for neighbors. Nearby stand a few Egyptian temples, the Phoenician royal necropolis and the Roman amphitheatre.
This is a must go if you are heading to Tripoli you can just stop there for a couple of hours to visit this fantastic place.
Built in 1228 and built by the Crusaders, this picturesque castle is situated on a small island that was once dedicated to the temple ruins of Melkart, the Phoenician version of Hercules and passed through sturdy stones. The causeway is connected to the mainland. In order to prevent the Crusaders from returning to the area, most of the Mamluks were destroyed and it was refurbished by Fakhreddine in the 17th century. On a calm day, you can see many broken rose granite columns lying on the surrounding seabed.
In the winter of 1227-1228, the Crusaders decided to strengthen Saida Port. In just a few months, they built this impressive fortress on the Phoenician site. The castle was partially destroyed and rebuilt several times until it was bombed by the British Marines in 1840. This is the symbol of the city of Saida. Opening hours: 9 am to 6 pm in the winter / 9 am to 4 pm

Kempinski Hotel in the capital of Lebanon
I think foreigners have a simple definition of vacation, as long as there is a swimming pool, a beach, and sunshine. There are not too many details to talk about. The Kempinski Resort Hotel in Beirut is completely based on the aesthetics of foreigners.
⭐️The price is 2700 yuan/night
It's a hotel booked by the client! It should be the best resort hotel locally
⭐️The hotel should be some years old, the design of the lobby and rooms and various displays are conventional, there is no big highlight. The service is quite in place! The hotel used to be called Summerland, it was taken over by Kempinski during the most difficult three years in Lebanon.
⭐️The location is okay, Beirut is very small! The hotel is 15 minutes from the city center, 15 minutes from the airport, but 60-90 minutes from tourist attractions!
⭐️The biggest highlight and valuable place of the hotel is probably that the park is very large, the swimming pool is very large and many, facing the sea has its own private beach. Leaning on the beach chair can be an afternoon.
(Beirut is really special, it's very sunny before 4 o'clock! After 4 o'clock, the light and temperature are very pleasant)
Warm tips:
📌Chinese passport holders are visa-free for entering Lebanon. Tell the customs that you are here for tourism, and you can enter smoothly
📌Don't exchange the local currency, just use US dollars!
📌Lebanon is not as chaotic as imagined, it's ok safe! Whether in the city or suburbs of Lebanon, the houses on both sides of the road are "scarred", don't be scared. It's just the traces of the past. The government has no money to repair and just left it there. As shown in Figure 9
❤️Some thoughts:
The national conditions, politics, and financial currency of Lebanon are quite complicated. It's not a place that ordinary people can understand! I believe that this place was once a beautiful country, so it was called the Little Paris of the Middle East! I believe that this place was once a place of high economic growth, so 1 Lebanese pound can be exchanged for more than 1 US dollar!
