Our travel destination was Dakun Gorge in Gansu. On our way from Xining to Dahejia in Gansu, we saw large-scale construction along the road. We recalled the earthquake in Gansu and Qinghai in 2023, which caused serious damage to local buildings, and realized that Dakun Gorge Scenic Area might be closed. After consulting with local residents, we confirmed this information. After having lunch in Dahejia, we searched for nearby tourist attractions on our phones and decided to change our itinerary and go to Qilisi Flower Sea in Minhe County, Qinghai Province. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for Qilisi Scenic Area. I thought that since we had already traveled more than 100 km, we might as well take a look. When we arrived at the scenic area, we bought tickets and entered the park. We strolled along the boardwalk in the scenic area and saw dahlia, rose, verbena, and black-eyed Susan blooming. I slowly fell in love with the scenic area. Walking slowly along the boardwalk, I felt like I was in a sea of flowers. The fresh breeze carried the fragrance of flowers, which was refreshing. In addition to flower viewing, the scenic area also has a variety of entertainment facilities, such as a 5D glass bridge, rainbow slide, zip line, cliff swing, glass water slide, children's playground, and flower sea train, providing visitors with a variety of choices. Even in winter, there is a ski resort for visitors to experience. For me, being able to walk through this sea of flowers composed of yellow, red, white, and purple flowers, blend in with the blue sky and white clouds, and capture the wonderful moments of nature is already a great satisfaction. Qinghai Province's Haidong City, Minhe Hui and Tu Autonomous County is the last county through which the Yellow River flows in Qinghai Province, and Yu Wangxia, located in Xiazhou Village, Zhongchuan Township of Minhe County, is the last gorge of the Yellow River in Qinghai Province. It is said that the great Yu also managed the waters here. Standing in the Yu Wangxia scenic area and looking far away, the Yellow River is flanked by a checkerboard of fields, with majestic mountains and steep gorges. At the end of April, the hundreds of cherry trees planted in the scenic area also bloom beautifully. There is also a glass walkway and some thrilling and exciting adventure activities to experience. Yu Wangxia can be said to be a very niche scenic spot, with no public transportation available and requiring self-driving to get there. The ticket price for the scenic area is 30 yuan per person, and it should take just over an hour to walk around the scenic area.
