A great learning experience and had an awesome time.Went to aunts for birthday trip but ended up learning in the process. I will be back again hopefully and this time with my daughter. Got the chance to explore Tennessee never been great place music city. There downtown strip reminds me of New Orleans bourbon st the way people hang and walk to strip. We got there Wednesday night around 11 and assumed we would find Beale street wide awake! Nope on weekends Beale street has a bed time. That’s fine, other than that first hungry night, I don’t like crowds. Get there during the day and you can walk along the Memphis walk of fame, see which names you know and learn some new ones. Weekday evenings you can go bar to bar with out much or any cover charge, listen to the lesser know artists and not have to fight for a beer. Weekends have their perks too, more people means more music, bars you missed earlier are jamming and the energy is great! Make sure you stop at BB Kings bar and meet Lucille and try the Beale street burger while you are there. My dad may have tried every rib available in Memphis I almost strictly ate that burger. #memphis #blues #music

MTR’s new space is sited within Crosstown Concourse’s public, central atrium, another smaller, public atrium, and is also open to a private terrace with outdoor seating. A driving design challenge involved ensuring the education facility established a more public presence from the church basement where they first began in 2009. . MTR’s new home is made up of three functions: offices, larger training rooms, and community areas for breaks and informal discussion. Wooden space defining elements were used within the community spaces to encourage gathering. These components act as connective tissue between programmatic zones. At the entry, for example, a sign and seating detail offers areas for conversation, waiting, and defines the entrance while also visually communicating the organization’s focus on gathering and community. The use of the warm material also establishes nodal areas for collaboration. . The client’s distinct use of book icons to express a source of knowledge translated into an architectural language and graphic spatial detailing that colors and meters the large space. I went to watch an NBA game in Memphis, USA. The Grizzlies are the team that Japanese player Yuki Kawamura belongs to. I watched the regular season. I was so excited to see the players' shooting practice and the game live! ! The national anthem and the entertainment during the timeouts were also fun, and it was like a dream to see familiar local hosts and commentators. I hope that this post, including my knowledge of the area and the local situation, will help someone prepare! [Recommended spots] *About half a day 1. Game day / Beale Street + FedEx Forum The famous Beale Street is diagonally opposite the game venue. It is lit up at night and bustling (I walked there during the day) At A.SCHWAB, a long-established souvenir shop that has been in business since 1876, you can enjoy the old-fashioned soda fountain and the gently sweet handmade drinks. 2. Non-game day / Civil Rights Museum + Archade Restautant These two places are very close to each other. It's easy to find the way from downtown to the Civil Rights Museum, and it takes about 20 minutes on foot. However, you may need to be careful as the walls of nearby buildings have collapsed and it is outside the downtown area. The museum of the racial equality movement, including the hostel where Martin Luther King was assassinated (6th photo) If you want to prepare by watching movies, "The Butler" and "12 Years a Slave" might be good choices. The Arcade Restaurant is a long-established diner that has been in business since 1919, and was visited by Kawamura for a TV interview. It is quite busy, but the staff are efficient and there is a counter. You can enjoy American flavors such as soft pancakes with thin dough and crispy French toast inside the restaurant. Elvis Presley also visited, and it was used in the movies "Mystery Train" and "My Blueberry Nights."
