Such a beautiful traditional things of Titicaca
#voyagevibes
The Uros Islands are artificial islands made of totora grass. The lake surface of Lake Titicaca is 3,812m above sea level, the highest in the world, and like other cities at high altitudes, the sunlight is more intense than it is painful.
We visited an island with private homes by boat, changed into traditional costumes in the houses and had a photo shoot. The guide gave us a lot of explanations and gave us a glimpse of life on the island. The traditional costumes, which are a little different from those of the Quechua people, are colorful and cute. The totora boat to the island that serves as a city hall is an additional charge, but we decided to go on board since we were there. The totora boat with a roof is so luxurious that we called it a Mercedes Benz, which is a Titicaca joke.

Copacabana: Bolivia’s Lakeside Gem
#summerdestinations
⛵️Nestled on the shores of Lake Titicaca, Copacabana is a charming Bolivian town renowned for its stunning landscapes and vibrant culture. The clear blue waters of the lake, combined with the dramatic backdrop of the Andes, create a picturesque setting that is perfect for both relaxation and exploration.
🚍To reach Copacabana from La Paz, take a bus for about $10 to $15 USD, with a journey time of 4 to 5 hours.
🧣Dress warmly and stay hydrated to adjust to the high altitude. We visited during the summer and it still got a bit chilly! #tripmoments
🛌Accommodation ranges from $20 to $150 USD per night, with local dining costing $5 to $15 USD per meal. Copacabana offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural experiences.
🥾Hike the island’s scenic trails and immerse yourself in the rich history and spiritual significance of the area.
⛪️ Also, explore the town’s Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, which houses the revered Virgen de la Candelaria.
⏰How long to stay? It’s up to you, but because the town is small, I recommend staying two days and also visit and stay in Isla del Sol, a beautiful island with a wonderful view of the Lake.

[An island off-limits to men] Moon Island
Lake Titicaca spreads out at an altitude higher than Mount Fuji.
Owned by Bolivia and Peru, Isla de la Luna (Moon Island) is located almost in the center of the lake.
Although Isla de la Luna is small, less than 2 square kilometers, the ruins in the center of the island are said to be better preserved than any other ruins from the Inca era, and the quiet environment allows you to imagine what it was like back then.
It is said that the residents of Isla de la Luna were women.
At the time, the residents of the island were carefully selected, and only women of a certain status lived on the island.
It is said that high-ranking women acquired the knowledge to become shrine maidens, and women of the imperial family received education.
Only Inca members of the imperial family were allowed to land on the island, so the ruins were also recognized as the "palace where the maidens of the sun live."
