When talking about the most famous cities in Spain, Barcelona is often the first one that comes to mind. Perhaps it’s because of Gaudi’s dreamlike architecture, or perhaps it’s because of the romantic sentiment of “La Barcelona”, this city is always crowded with tourists. During my two-week trip to Spain, I deeply felt that Barcelona is indeed charming, but I have a special liking for the small towns, many of which made me want to visit again! If you are planning a trip to Spain, these are the places you shouldn’t miss! 1️⃣ Mallorca This is the place that comes to mind as the first choice. It is famous for its jelly-clear waters. Chopin also spent his honeymoon here. Small towns with different styles, beautiful coastlines, delicious restaurants...it is worthy of the title of the pinnacle of European island vacations. My sisters and I spent four days here and still felt unsatisfied. 2️⃣ Ronda This sky city on the cliff was praised by Hemingway as the best town for elopement. A steep ravine divides Ronda into two parts, connected by a spectacular bridge. This is also the birthplace of Spanish bullfighting. 3️⃣Tossa A beautiful medieval town near Barcelona, ​​where the movie "Legend of the Blue Sea" was filmed. There is an ancient stone castle standing on the Mediterranean Sea. It is very pleasant to taste wine and swim on the beach. 4️⃣Blanes Botanical Garden This beautiful botanical garden located on the edge of a cliff has a history of more than 100 years. The bus takes two transfers and the intervals are long, so it takes about 2.5 to 3 hours one way. 🚌 2. Many people rent cars, but parking is difficult, paid parking lots are expensive, and illegal parking is often ticketed! 🚘 3. I think a taxi would be the most reasonable way to go if you go with 4 or more people! It costs 70 euros one way, so if you find a companion and go with 4 people, it's 35 euros per person round trip, so you can comfortably go one way in an hour!!!!! 3 things to do in Mallorca that aren’t the beach! While the island is surrounded by beautiful beaches, Mallorca has so much more to offer! 1. Go hiking at Fornalux & Biniaraix: The hiking route we chose was a moderate loop trail that takes you through Fornalux and Biniaraix in 2 hours. More than an hour later, we arrived at Fornalux and took a break in its town center. The village is lined with beautifully well-preserved stone houses with red tiles and green window shutters. We passed by the second village, Biniaraix, on the way back. This is another quiet town that has been kept in its original condition throughout time, with just a few restaurants and B&Bs, the town fit nicely into the hike. 2. Take a catamaran boat tour: Instead of going to the beach, we choose to have a relaxing day at sea with the catamaran half-day tour. At 9am, we boarded the spacious catamaran and were served fresh mimosas on board. We left the bay and sailed towards our destination, Cala Vella. This boat tour included a lunch buffet onboard and drinks were available for purchase. We sailed for about 1.5 hours to get to Cala Vella, a quiet small cove area 20 km east of Palma. The boat had snorkeling equipment for purchase, however, towels were not provided so be sure to bring your own! The price of the boat tour per person is 60 Euros so its not cheap! 3. Ride a bus up to Cap de Formentor About an hour away from Palma, Cap de Formentor is 384 m above sea level and provided us with a 360-degree view of the island as well as the ocean. To get to the Formentor Lighthouse, we parked our car at the designated parking lot and rode a bus for 30 minutes to get up the mountains. The bus ride took us across the windy and intense landscape of the cap but the view at the end of the ride is worth the journey. The bus made hairpin turns until it reached the lighthouse at the top of the hill. Palma de Mallorca is an ideal walking town where you'll discover beautiful architecture and irresistible Spanish charm throughout every street.  Make sure to have plenty of shellfish, delicious ham and local wines and olive oils for a true treat.  A great city for couples or families looking to experience a relaxed side of Spanish culture.

This time I came to Mallorca to challenge Puig Tomir, I really didn’t expect it to be so exciting! 🙈 At first I thought it was an ordinary mountain road, but the more you walk more and more "wild", there is no clear path, you have to drill your own forest, catch rocks, and use your hands and feet to climb up. The views along the way are beautiful, the whole valley looks green and blue sky and white clouds, however it is really sunny and there is no shade at all. At that moment, my mind kept thinking: "Is it worth continuing?" This time I was wrong .. not enough water, wearing shorts, no gloves, fortunately I am a female afraid of tanning, otherwise like my husband did not even apply sun oil 🤣 and finally sunburned! Because the first time I walked, I guessed the wrong way halfway and went to a more dangerous part. Looking ahead was only a little short of reaching the top, but it was starting to be dangerous underfoot, and eventually decided to turn around and go down the mountain.
