That Phem phuk
#passionpassport
That Phum Phuk Luang Namtha is a golden stupa situated on the hilltop near the city, it is the name for a grand stupa in Luang Namtha, although the one on display is actually a model of the original and was built in 2003 to replace the original stupa which was bombed during the Second Indochina War, but the new gold version is still very pretty in its own right.
As with many temples and stupas in Laos, this one of located on a grassy hill so you can enjoy great views over the northwest part of Luang Namtha and will get a fresh air and feel among when you are standing there.
Open hour: 8:00am - 6:00pm

Another waterfall hunting day
If you want to get out of town, make a point of visiting some of the waterfalls in the Luang Namtha area. This area is famed for its beautiful cataracts, and you may cycle or motorbike to several of the communities near Luang Namtha before hiking to the falls. The Nam Dee Waterfall and the Gneung Phou Ku Lom Waterfall, both near Muang Sing, are examples. But for me Nam Dee is just excellent as I can think off, very quite and peaceful and you’ll literally find yourself alone for tranquility.

Hiking, biking, hiking, biking all day
If you want, to do this adventure in Namtha. You should rent a bicycle from one of Luang Namtha's many bike rental shops. Take a look at the Valley route's free map booklet (available at various spots in town - tour companies, guesthouses, tourist office, etc.). Take some water with you and go!!
My adventure resulted in a truly enjoyable day. The road is well-marked and passes through rice fields, rivers, stupas, villages, and other sights. There are informational signage outlining some of the traditional activities associated with certain settlements for anyone who are interested.

Hiking and food trip to the night market
The Luang Namtha Night Market is one of the greatest venues to sample some of the native cuisine, but it is not for the faint of heart. Many ethnic minorities from the neighboring villages come down to offer their wares, which include barbecued meats and simple noodle dishes.
Beetles, offal, soup prepared with animal bile, and even chick embryos are among the indigenous Lao delicacies on the menu. If you're unsure about something, it's best to ask first and proceed with caution.

Admiring this historic museum
If you are fascinated and wish to see some antiquities in Luang Namtha, go to the Luang Namtha Museum, which has a large collection of them on display. There are many galleries dedicated to ancient fabrics, musical instruments, and pottery artifacts are among them. You'll also find Buddha statues and displays that depict the tale of Laos' past, as you might anticipate. It was indeed a really fascinating visit I admire the Lao culture in this province so much.

Trekking all the way to Phum Phuk
The name Phum Phuk refers to a large stupa near Luang Namtha, albeit the one on display is a replica of the original, completed in 2003. Although the ancient stupa was bombed during the Second Indochina War, the new gold replica is nonetheless rather lovely. This temple, like many others in Laos, is situated on a grassy hill with panoramic views of the northwestern part of the country.

Advance visa delays also stranded in Moding, so let's check out the Moding travel guide 🚞.
One of the eight great forgivings in life, since you're already here, just come.
Missed the train ticket for that day 🥀
Want to charter a car to Luang Prabang, but the plan fell apart due to not enough people.
Queue up to buy the ticket 🎫 for the next day.
Go to Moding town for a night transition or decide to take a good stroll.
.
.. 🧾🧾🧾..
.
🏨Stay
Many private cars outside the station.
$20/person can be directly delivered to the doorstep of Moding Jinglan Hotel.
It is said to be the best hotel in town, and it is relatively clean.
The hotel entrance is great for taking photos.
289/night, some say 188
We tried to bargain but couldn't get a deal 😭.

Moding Town is very small, you can finish strolling around in half an hour.
The T-shaped street formed by two roads outside the hotel is quite lively.
Other streets have few shops open and almost no people.
But all the buildings are very beautiful, with a bias towards European and Southeast Asian styles.
Colorful town, the afternoon sun is just right, great for taking photos.
.
🥙Eat
Coming out of the hotel, there is a shop called 1996 in the alley across the street.
The taste is okay, just a little spicy.
The **papaya platter in the recommended dishes is also good.
Cheap, ordered 5 dishes and 4 bottles of drinks, only 160.
There are many shops on the roadside, try them out according to personal preference.
Don't expect too much from the flavor at the port.
.
⚠️Buy tickets on site at Moding, and you can purchase bus tickets for the next three days including the day of purchase.
If you have come, then accept it.
Travel inevitably encounters various small problems.
Don't let bad mood affect the journey.
Laos is about devotion, devotion is what is respected in the heart, regardless of self.
Taking the China-Laos Railway into Laos, then arriving at Nanta in southern Laos. Nanta is a border town located in the northwest of Laos, the capital of Luang Namtha Province.
The slow-flowing Nan Ta River winds around the city, and Nan Ta is not big, with many low courtyards. I like to stroll around like this, it makes me feel the real life.
Its small and exquisite size does not affect her unique charm. This is a small basin, with small hills around it, undulating in height, and in the middle are patches of fertile fields and some small villages.
Praying for blessings at Luangnan South Pagoda and Bobo Golden Pagoda, calm down and feel, in fact, everyone understands that life is not absolutely stable, we are all passers-by, with a calm and indifferent heart, through the fleeting years of mountains and rivers, laughing Looking at the dusty world
Laos' Southern Attapeu: Half fairy tale, half hometown.
Laos is indeed a charming place, where everything feels new and yet familiar.
Today we drove for more than an hour from Moding and arrived at Namtha City in Laos. Along the way, we saw a very simple and primitive rural scenery. Most of the houses are similar to those in Xishuangbanna, and they are also very similar to the Miao wooden houses I have seen before!
After having lunch, we came to the mountaintop and witnessed the shining Buddha light of Laos for the first time. The solemn golden pagoda was surrounded by vast forests. Here, we could overlook the street view of the entire Namtha city, with colorful houses, winding streets, interspersed with lush green lawns and tropical plants, creating a beauty reminiscent of Nordic fairy tales.
This city is half fairy tale and half rustic hometown charm!
Explore Bokeo, Laos and the mysterious Golden Triangle.
After crossing the Zhonglaobian border, heading northwest is a relatively unpopular route. Arriving at Nanta City in the province of Luang Namtha, it is much less famous than the well-known Luang Prabang, but more authentic.
In the city, you won't see tall buildings, but various interesting small houses. The more famous attractions are the Langnan South Tower and the Bopo Gold Tower, which are golden everywhere. The night market here is also quite famous.
Pre Pandemic Travels-Laos
Indeed , I love Laos! The peace and the feel of exclusivity of the country is fascinating. It may be a "laid back" country, there's a lot to explore and enjoy. Milk tea stores and coffee shops are everywhere, the magnificent structures of temples are incredible and the night market beside the Mekong river is lively. Their food is quite the same here in the Philippines but theirs has a different kick :)
❤️ As a Coffee Lover , I had the best Ice Coffee ever in my life there at Laos. One of the reasons why I need to go back :)

Love to the Ends of the Earth Outskirts of Luang Namtha city
#passionpassport
We were Exploring outskirts of Namtha City town.
Sometimes it's not bad to spend your time for a while in a place that has no wifi or internet access, no electricity which will bring you a truth of daily life back to a long past.
The Nam Ha Protection Areas of Northern Laos in Luang Namtha province still have some villages that they don't care much about the outside world, They just simple enjoy the happenings around them as a Nature.
The village is 22 kilometres far from Luang Namtha city town, they have a rich culture, long history of their customs from generation to next generation, Seems like happy life.

Our home for weeks in LN
The Boat Landing Guest House and Restaurant is our home for our adventures in Luang Namtha. But I’m not taking about our accommodation here. I’m talking about food cause, The Boat Landing Restaurant is the place to go in Luang Namtha if you want to try some local cuisine.
Here you'll find meals from the town's numerous ethnic communities, as well as cooking workshops from time to time. This restaurant also has its own handbook, which describes the history and ingredients of all the meals they offer, so if you're new to Lao cooking, this is a fantastic place to start.

Hiking and sunsets at Nam Ha
Nam Ha NPA is a National Protected Area near Luang Namtha that is also one of the most accessible nature parks in Laos. The major reason to visit is to see the rare clouded leopards and tigers that are supposed to frequent the park; nevertheless, don't be disappointed if you don't see any because they are notoriously elusive.
The park is filled in beautiful woodlands and jungles, and there are various local villages here that are home to ethnic minorities like as the Khamu, Akha, and Lao Huay. Trekking and bird watching are popular activities in the park, which covers an area of 2,224 square kilometers.
