This is my second visit to Lisbon, Portugal. Last time, I didn't have much time, so I just took a quick look around. I spent a lot of time photographing the sights from the outside and didn't actually visit them. The Belém Tower is one of those sights I regret not visiting! So, I absolutely have to make it a must-see this time! Portugal is incredibly crowded during summertime! We stayed in the Belém district, and groups of tourists started pouring in at 10 a.m., creating long lines for many attractions. We started queuing at 12 p.m. and waited about an hour and a half before we even got in! To avoid the crowds, I recommend arriving at 9 a.m.; after 10 a.m., you'll be surrounded by groups of tourists! The Belém Tower (Torre de Belém) is an iconic landmark and a must-see attraction in Lisbon. A 16th-century port fortress, it's a symbol of Portugal's Golden Age and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. The architectural style blends exotic elements, Moorish and Arab art, resulting in the Manueline style. The Belém Tower is a classic and representative example of this style, with unique features that are well worth a visit. 📷😍💕 Many areas within the tower are beautiful, but my favorite is the first-floor terrace. 🥰 It was sunny and perfect for taking beautiful photos! Note: The weather around the Belém Tower is unpredictable. We experienced sunny, overcast, rainy, and extremely windy weather in the hour-long queue. Remember to bring a windproof jacket! As soon as I arrived at Dusol Observatory, the vast blue ocean and sky unfolded before my eyes. The gentle sound of waves and the refreshing breeze combined to create a feeling as if time was flowing more slowly. The sunset viewed from the observatory was especially stunning, offering a sense of awe that couldn't be fully captured in photos. The peaceful surroundings allowed me to leisurely enjoy the scenery, making it a perfect retreat to escape the noise of the city, even if just for a moment.

As I arrived in the late afternoon, the sun was starting to dip over the Tagus River, casting a golden glow across the wide, open square. The moment felt almost cinematic, like Lisbon was giving me a proper farewell. The grand arch of Rua Augusta, the soft yellow façades, and the gentle breeze from the river made everything feel peaceful yet majestic. 📍O Cacho Dourado Location: Rua Eça de Queiroz 5, 1050-095 Lisboa, Portugal 💰: Approximately 2,000 yen per person This restaurant in Lisbon seems to be loved by locals. After dinner time, the counter seats were filled with people who seemed to be visiting alone after work. The ham was shaved on the spot and the crabs were turned on the spot, giving it a very realistic feel. The interior of the restaurant was also tiled and very cute, making me want to take pictures. The counter seats in particular had a foreign feel to them. There was also terrace seating outside, and there were plenty of seats✨ I ordered a Portuguese soup called Caldo Verde, and they served it on my plate right at my seat! It came with a lot of soaked bread, so I was full just from that. If you don't mind coriander, this is a must-try dish🧚 There were desserts in the showcase outside too! The hams are hung and arranged one by one, which looks quite impressive! Watching the chef slowly and meticulously slicing the food on the spot is super stress-relieving and therapeutic. Maybe it’s because they sell wine in the store, the atmosphere is quite chill. 💞Special recommendation: There are many choices for on-site dining, from bread with ham slices, croquettes, ham slices platter, bacon ham and eggs, to various wine choices. The price depends on the grade of ham you choose. I ordered an Iberian ham sandwich, which cost €13.50. It was not cheap but it was salty and fragrant, and the quality was good. The Line 28 subway stops right in front of the door, so transportation is quite convenient. Although it is a chain brand, the coffee quality is good, especially the brunch is quite delicious. 💞Special recommendation: There are many choices of coffee and bread, and the most recommended is the breakfast plate (€15.6). You can choose one kind of bread, one kind of cake and two slices of toast, plus fruit oatmeal yogurt, ham cheese and orange juice, which is quite healthy. While looking for a place to buy souvenirs in Portugal, I found a shop called Normal. They have a wide range of products, including snacks, drinks, cosmetics, miscellaneous goods, and Asian foods. I found some gummy candies that I thought my relatives' children would love, so I bought them as a souvenir! This general store originated in Denmark and has about 30 stores in Portugal. The store is fun, as you can walk through the cute illustrations while solving puzzles. The gummy candies are colorful, including chocolate marshmallows, which are very popular in Japan, and brightly colored ones I've never seen before. Their original tablets and shopping bags are also cute and recommended.

📍Taverna Alfacinha During my trip to Portugal, I found this place to be the most delicious spot. If you're looking for the best restaurant in Lisbon, or even in all of Portugal, I highly recommend visiting here. Since the food might be a bit salty, we asked them to make it less salty, and every single dish was absolutely delightful. The octopus was incredibly tender, and the pasta was far more delicious than I had expected. I strongly recommend stopping by and trying it out. You won't regret it—this is a must-visit restaurant!

This gate was built to commemorate the restoration of Lisbon after the 1755 earthquake and was completed in 1873. There is actually an observation deck here, but it is not well known, so it is a surprising hidden spot in Lisbon, with few people even during the day. As it is a new observation deck, there is an elevator.
