Great trip out to Cape Leeuwin and the lighthouse. They have tours where you can go up the top of the lighthouse or just walk the grounds at your leisure. Rich in history and tailored to kids in early teens it’s well worth the visit. Here you’ll see two oceans meet at the furthest point South West of Australia. We were blessed with blue skies and a slight breeze. It’s about a 2 hr drive from Busselton, so easy to do for a day trip.

The cozy atmosphere and tasty treats provided the perfect break before continuing our journey south. As we drove further, the landscape shifted, and we eventually reached Cape Leeuwin, where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. The towering lighthouse and dramatic coastline offered stunning views, and it felt like we were standing at the very edge of the world. I visited the Leeuwin Lighthouse, located at the southwestern tip of Australia, about 50 km by car from Margaret River. It is the meeting point of the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean, with a distant view of Antarctica. The waves are large and the wind is strong, but the sight is impressive. After taking in the magnificent scenery, it's nice to spend some time at the small museum or café. On the way from Margaret River, there are several caves, so it's also a good idea to explore the caves and the lighthouse to experience the wonders of nature.
