While planning my trip to Cebu, I spent quite some time deciding, and I ended up choosing The Reef Island Resort. On the last day of the trip, we went to a hotel with amazing pools on Mactan Island. There are many restaurants, including casinos and Japanese izakayas. There are also pool bars and water slides. There are many types of pools! Pororo Park is paid, but It's perfect for little kids to play in when it rains! The building is gorgeous! Local weddings and parties were held there too! This time, we were upgraded by 3 levels. There was a living room and a counter. We were traveling as a mother and child, so It was very easy to use and we were grateful! The counter also had a washing area, which was convenient. You can't drink tap water in Cebu (the water in the bathroom smelled moldy 😭) We brought Brita water bottles But if you ask, they will bring you several plastic bottles (about 500 yen) for free! Ice is also available 🧊 (There is a wide variety of room service and a 24-hour restaurant.) The room was old in some places, but it was comfortable! The photo of the blue sky is the main pool, and there is also a lazy river and a huge water slide. Towels are available for rental (next to the main pool). We visited Lapu-Lapu City in the Philippines and stayed at Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort. The resort is located on Punta Engano Road, not far from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, and is very convenient to get to. The resort is in a very quiet area, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort is in a great location with stunning sea views and beautiful natural scenery. The resort is modern and luxurious. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and all the staff were very friendly, especially the restaurant staff, who always served us with a smile. We felt at home during our stay. The room was very spacious and bright, and the bed was comfortable. Although there were no latex or hard pillows, the overall sleeping environment was good. The room was well-equipped with a TV, minibar, and a large wardrobe, but the shower had no door, which made it easy for water to accumulate on the bathroom floor. The main problem was that the room was not soundproof, and we could hear the noise from the next room at night, but the staff were very helpful in solving the problem. The resort has an infinity pool where you can swim while enjoying the stunning sea views, especially at sunrise and sunset. When we got up early in the morning, they thoughtfully prepared breakfast for us to take away, which was very considerate. However, there are currently only two restaurants open at the resort, so the options are limited, especially since there are no other dining options nearby. There are also some good restaurants nearby, such as Benjarong Mactan, DIP Nikkei, and Azure Beach Club, which are great places to eat. You can also try the delicious food at Cabana Grill and Seafood and Rami Korean Restaurant nearby. Overall, Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort is a great place with beautiful natural scenery and friendly service, but some facilities are not yet complete, such as the artificial beach, which is a bit simple, and the spa, which is a bit expensive. But I believe that when all the facilities are complete, it will be an even better resort. If you don't mind some minor flaws, it's still worth a stay.
