If you go to Gibraltar, we recommend staying in La Línea in Spain!
🏨【Hotels Campo de Gibraltar】
✨Hotel highlights
This is a large hotel in La Línea de la Concepción, the town just before Gibraltar, a British territory in Spain.
It is a 5-minute walk from the La Línea bus terminal, and a 10-minute walk from the Gibraltar border, making it an extremely accessible hotel.
The accommodation fee is reasonable, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Gibraltar.
My destination was Gibraltar, so it was really convenient.
It is about a 10-minute walk to areas with supermarkets and restaurants.
♨️Facilities introduction
The climate in this area is about the same as in Japan.
There is an outdoor pool, but it was closed because I stayed there in November.
There is also a restaurant venue for breakfast.
The bar was open until around 10 p.m. at night. You can also enjoy ice cream, snacks, alcoholic drinks, and other drinks.
🛁Room introduction
The hotel is old but clean.
Since the hotel encourages eco-friendliness (there is a clear sign recommending eco-friendliness), amenities are minimal (no toothbrushes, slippers, or tissues). It is better to bring your own if necessary.
■Towels: 2 medium-sized towels and 2 bath towels
■The room I booked had a bathtub, but in order to encourage eco-friendliness, there was no bath plug. However, if you ask the front desk staff, they will lend you one.
■There were 2 free water bottles
■There is an electric kettle so you can boil water and there are cups
■There was a balcony. There are also tables and chairs, so you can get some fresh air outside.
■There was also a clothesline (see: the far left of the third photo), which was convenient.
■The hangers in the closet are a bit strangely shaped so they cannot be removed from the hanger rack. This is the first time I have seen this type (see: the sixth photo).
🍽️Breakfast
I didn't use it, but it seems that if you want to add it, it costs around 2,000 to 2,500 yen.
If you need it, please ask the staff.
🛎️Service
■I asked about the adapter because the conversion plug didn't fit, and they lent me an adapter.
Thank you!
■There were two free plastic bottles.
In my case, I get thirsty easily and take medicine, so I explained the situation and they kindly let me use the water server in front of the front desk.
💗Thoughts on the stay
■The male staff on the night shift were especially excellent!
I stayed for two nights, and I was really happy that they called me by my first name on the second night as well.
■The female staff were also excellent, and they provided me with a copy of the bus timetable from La Línea to Algeciras and explained it well.
