I enjoyed a short trip by ferry from the main island of Okinawa to the surrounding islands, both large and small. 📍Kume Island I visited Kume Island, a remote island that can be reached in just over 3 hours by ferry or 37 minutes by plane from Okinawa's main island! With a population of about 7,000, Kume Island is the fifth largest island in Okinawa Prefecture. This time, I traveled to Kume Island by boat from Naha! The ferry has flat seats, so the journey flew by while I took a nap. For accommodation, I stayed at "📍KUME GUEST HOUSE," a traditional Ryukyu-style old house. For dinner, we bought groceries at a supermarket and cooked our own meal. When traveling in a group, cooking together can be a fun and lively experience, so skipping dining out once in a while is a great option! Before heading back, I had a chicken cutlet set meal at "📍Restaurant Namiji." It was a hearty and luxurious lunch for just over 1,000 yen✨✨. Every set meal comes with sashimi caught in Kume Island!
