Located close to Busan Station! Jejuya, a restaurant serving hearty abalone porridge
I had been wanting to try abalone congee in Busan, and after leaving my lodgings and taking a walk, I found this place, so I decided to stop in.
I arrived early in the evening for an early dinner, so I avoided the crowds, but after researching later, I found that it's a very busy restaurant.
The abalone liver was generously portioned and delicious, and the price was reasonable, which I'm happy about.
Prices vary depending on the number of abalone, but one abalone was 12,000 won! As expected of Busan, a city rich in seafood, it's a better deal than Seoul.
They also had seaweed soup with sea urchin and bibimbap with sea urchin and abalone, but I gave up on them because I was traveling alone. I wanted to try them. Sea urchin was only available in the summer, when it's available.
There were plenty of side dishes, too. The side dish of eomuk (white fish paste), which is commonly served at Korean restaurants, was especially delicious, perhaps because it's authentic Busan.
They're open early, from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM. It's close to the station and easy to get to, so definitely check it out! ^_^
When you look out at Busan Station, you'll see Toyoko Inn on your right, but you'll have to go down a little further down the road.
