Enjoy the spacious room and cool design while staying at Hard Rock Desaru, walking distance to beach but the pools over here is slightly small compared to the others, however, i do enjoyed with the variety of food during breakfast, like the design where they decorated with different music instruments, unique experience as located quite a distance from jB city!

it was great weekend getaways in Hard Rock hotel desaru coast. it’s attached to adventure waterpark desaru coast where you can just walk to waterpark with multiple entry. we booked a double bed room with 2 queen size bed allowed you to stay up to 2 adults & 2 kids. that’s just nice for family. we got upgrade to rock loyalty room with the lounge facility . there is a coffee machine and bottle for you to refill the water using the special pipe inside the washroom. we hops to adventure waterpark on the next day we have lots of fun inside the waterpark. you can request a towel to bring into waterpark and returned back to hotel once you done. the breakfast & elephant & butterfly restaurant was great! one more tips! request a buggy to head over to Westin hotel for the beach therapy . we had enjoyed our weekend getaway here #weekendgetaways

#wheretogo Westin Desaru Coast is a 5 star hotel located in Bandar Penawar Johor . its a beach front resort with 270 rooms and above and it come with a conference center . the hotel best suite for the honeymooner or for corporate family day. the room is so nice as the bath tub with a sea view inside your room. not to mention the heavenly bed , is so comfortable. hardly to get out form bed in the morning. the bath tub is huge and nice and come with bath salt , if you do not have it in your room you can always request from the house keeping. the room come with a lavender oil it smell so good and calm you during your sleeping time. there is a beach bar at the beach and the breakfast area was huge and with wide range of food inside the coffee house . if you wanted to stay in Westin Desaru suggest you to go for SEA VIEW room, it’s really amazing 🤩. 👍🏻 #freehotelstay #hotel #johor #desaru #desarucoast #malaysia

if you want to always from the city for beach escape , Westin Desaru Coast Is one of the best hotel. It’s resort near to the beach , breakfast was perfect in the morning . There is DIY roti Bakar available too. SPA is very luxury and relaxing according to them this is their second outlet for Marriot Spa. You may need to try once when you are here . Ofcos the price is not cheap tho. The beach is clean and safe to play by the beach. There is one beach club available too, you can order food and snack by the beach . There are on going renovation at the lawn area , they view might be affected during the stay. The Westin famous heavenly bed make you just stay inside the room, perfect getaway for short trip or staycation or Healing. Cosy lobby bar

Tucked away in a corner right by the entrance to Westin Desaru resort, this lobby bar is a cosy space to grab a nice drink or a quick snack! There may not be a lot of seats here but guests can always take away their orders and sit in the large lobby itself, both are equally comfortable. I enjoyed a hot cup of cappuccino while gazing out at the rainy weather, it was such a mood. The atmosphere felt very tranquil too as it wasn’t very crowded and the interior was modern. As we visited during the Christmas season, there were festive decorations put up, including an incredibly tall Christmas tree! Free Activities at Westin Desaru Hotel

If there is one thing that we love about our stay at Westin Desaru Hotel, it would be the free activities or things to do at the hotel. Just at the lift lobby, there is a Foosball table for everyone to play and great news, it was free! My boys and I had a ball of fun just playing at the Foosball table. Parents, like myself, can rejoice as there is a kids club available at Westin Desaru. Everyday there are different activities organized for the kids to entertain them at the kids club. At the hotel lobby, you could also spot a kids play corner, like a mini playground, with cartoons playing on the TV. On the lower floor of the hotel, it is a beautiful garden where guests can take their morning/evening strolls. Nice water features with comfortable nest like chairs can also be found within the hotel, so that guests can take a seat and take a breather or to take pictures with. With so many free activities at Westin Desaru, this is one awesome hotel to consider for your next holiday! #wecreate

desaru for the 70.3 Ironman

Desaru Coast is a coastal resort area in Southeastern Johor, Peninsular Malaysia. The small town of Bandar Penawar serves as the area’s transport hub. Whether you are traveling alone, with your friends or family, there are more than enough activities to keep your stay fun and awesome and alternatively, if you want to keep it low-key and relaxed, the place can still give you the quiet and peace as it is still laid-back and not too crowded. For those bringing their kids in tow, there’s the Desaru Coast Adventure Water Park and the Ostrich Farms. If you love nature activities, a trip to the fishing villages in Tanjung Balau and the Desaru Fruit Farm are top options. And then there’s the food. At 40-50 RM or around 10 USD, you can already feast on affordable seafood as the town is coastal in nature. Keep it local and definitely there will be plenty of affordable but decent food options. The race started with a rolling start process in front of The Westin Desaru Coast Resort beachfront. The course is an inverted triangle swim, and in a clockwise direction. The swim was relatively smooth except for some little waves near the shore. Feedback from finishers were the presence of tiny shrimp-like creatures, or planktons. That’s open water swim for you and you will get through that. The last 700m swim back was a hurdle for some, as they were fighting to keep it rightmost on waves that were coming from right to left. From the swim out is a good 200-300 meter jog to the transition area. Another 200m jog from the transition area greets the athletes from where the bike mount area is. The long transition is worth it as this is one of the best bike courses in the triathlon racing circuit in Asia. What made the bike course pop out in this review is two things: First, the roads are silky smooth (as Zohan would say it), almost perfect and immaculate road conditions. Second, the canopy of trees and vegetation is a welcome sight, especially in the Jalan Ladang Siang section. With the sun barely out, the canopy provided shade to the athletes. It is truly a refreshing view. Despite the terrain being rolling and undulating, there is nothing too hard for most trained triathletes, except for a few steep sections. A cassette with 27 or 30 at the back is more than enough. Despite that, the course is not technical and plenty of straight sections can give triathletes time to keep their head down and steady. I thought the course would feature some coastal views, but the roadside view of plants, trees and vegetation does not disappoint. Course was well marked and plenty of marshals and police/security on hand to control the minimal traffic on the course. On my coverage, there was very minimal vehicle-cyclist interaction, and could say that the bike course was almost exclusive to the participants. Funs never ends here..Splish splash in this waterpark can begin as early as 10am..There’s locker provided here for the safety of your things..You can manage your own locker anytime u want..it is convenient especially if you didn’t have any waterproof bag to put your phones or money.. About the fun slides and roller coaster..as for kids or even adults, the fun never stops..no slides is ever boring..u want to do it again and again..its safe and fun..the roller coaster will give u adrenaline rush for 0.05 seconds..and it keeps summoning u to queue again..super fun.. The safety here is number one..there’s one session to do the maintenance of the roller coaster..there’s also life guards everywhere..the staffs are very helpful and friendly..even their boss greet us at the entrance of the park.. #summerbreak #beach #desaru We booked the family room and it comes with 1 Queen size bed and 1 single bed. The room is spacious, comfortable, properly furnished, good view & clean. All rooms has Beach views. It’s a 3 mins walk to beach. The beach is nice, very clean and quiet. The swimming pool has alot of sand which is pretty normal since its just beside the beach but they do clean it daily. Staff was kind and helpful, all of our requests were properly and timely handled. There is a lot of dining options within 5-10 mins drive. Breakfast was average, simple food like bread, nasi lemak, nasi goreng, mee hoon goreng, porridge, noodles, egg stations and fruits which is sufficient for me. Spa was OK. Make reservation early. Cost RM190 for 60 mins for traditional massage.

Birthday weekend in Tioman Island resort😎

Impromptu weekend trip for my birthday was decided. Drive thru Johor Bahru then Kota Tinggi and took a ferry from Mersing Harbour Centre. First ever visit in this hidden gem Tioman Island resort named Tunamaya Beach Resort and enjoyed the quietness and beauty of the nature. Truly a must for those who are into nature trip and relaxing weekend trip. It’s a bucket list checked! 😉😎❤️
