Let's go see the dugongs at Libong Island. This trip, we traveled to Trang Province, heading straight to Libong Island specifically to see the dugongs. We traveled from Hat Yao Pier and took a long-tail boat across to Libong Island. It didn't take long to get to the island, and we enjoyed the view. On the island, there are motorcycles for rent and three-wheeled taxis to take you to the hotels and resorts you chose to stay at. We stayed at Libong Beach Resort. They have everything you need, including accommodation, food, and tour services. You can use their services to see the dugongs or other islands. We stopped by the dugong observation tower bridge in the morning, but the water hadn't risen yet and we couldn't see anything. In the afternoon, we took a boat to see the dugongs. We floated around for an hour, looking around but couldn't find any sign of them, only a very big turtle. But we didn't give up, and waited a little longer. Finally, we found one. It was very big and cute. It swam and played with the ropes near the beach. It showed itself for several minutes before swimming away to eat more sea grass. Let me introduce you first .. ⛺️🏖 Koh Libong is a medium-sized island located at the mouth of the Trang River and the Palian River in Koh Libong Subdistrict, Kantang District, Trang Province. The area consists of mountains, plains, and coastline, making the natural resources diverse, including land forests, mangrove forests, seagrass, and wildlife. Because Koh Libong has seagrass, there are dugongs swimming and looking for food, but we haven't seen any yet, hehe. The sea here may not be beautiful or clear. The focus is on a chill atmosphere, squid fishing, marine activities, and experiencing the way of life of fishermen. But I guarantee that the seafood is fresh and new. How to get there: Travel from Trang City for about 40 kilometers to Hat Yao Pier, Kantang District. Hat Yao Pier is open from 08.00-17.00 hrs. (Boat fare is 40 baht per person).
