This was my first time renting a motorcycle from Chiang Mai to ride up a mountain, a distance of 200 kilometers, to see the golden sunflower fields on the mountaintop. The route we chose was from the city to Doi Inthanon, Mae Chaem. The route was beautiful and easy to ride, but the fog up there was very thick. We went down to Mae Chaem to find some simple food to eat first, filled up the tank, and headed up to Mae U-Kho. And then we arrived at around 4:00 PM, and the rain clouds were coming. So we decided to find a place to stay nearby to sleep alone. The next morning, we rode a motorcycle to the viewpoint again with the atmosphere of clouds and rain, but it was beautiful in a different way. Then we rode back down to Chiang Mai, stopping at a waterfall on the way back. I recommend renting a boat 150 cc or more to have more power to go up the mountain. Check the brakes well because you will use it a lot on the way down. A helmet should have a face cover in case it rains.
