2 days in Phetchaburi, a city of culture and delicious food🪷🍨
Phetchaburi Province is a province with beautiful temples, delicious desserts, and beautiful nature, not far from Bangkok. It is another good place to relax during a long holiday. Try following this plan and you will have fun traveling.
🌿Day 1: Explore Phetchaburi, see culture & eat delicious food
08:00 – Depart from Bangkok (about 2–2.5 hours to Phetchaburi)
10:30 – Stop by “Wat Yai Suwannaram”
See the ancient architecture, the 300-year-old teak chapel and Ayutthaya-era murals. Feed the fish in a relaxed atmosphere.
11:30 – Have lunch at “Pen Phrik Phet”
A famous Phetchaburi noodle shop. If you come during mealtime, you will have to wait in line. They do not accept reservations and accept cash only.
13:00 – When you come to the city of sweets, you must try the dessert shops. There are many to choose from in the city, such as the Big Ice Cream shop, homemade ice cream served in a lunchbox. The must-try flavor is the Tan Tonod flavor, a famous Phetchaburi dish. The shop is near Pen Phrik Phet.
14:00 – Stop by “Nabi Cafe”, a very hip cafe.
Sit back, sip coffee and enjoy the natural view. It is located next to the Phetchaburi River. It would be great if you could sit with your legs dangling by the water. The shop is quite large. There are many corners to take pictures. It has a cozy style feel.
15:30 – Head to Kaeng Krachan (travel time is about 1 hour).
16:30 – Go rafting in the Phetchaburi River. There are many rafting spots. We contacted the accommodation. We had to take a pickup truck to start from the source of the river and then raft to the shore at the accommodation. The rafting took about 1–1.5 hours. You will definitely have fun!
18:30 – Dinner at a restaurant by the Kaeng Krachan Dam. There are many restaurants to choose from. One restaurant that I highly recommend because it tastes really good is the water chestnut fish head hot pot. The price is good and it is very worthwhile.
20:00 – Return to the accommodation. For this trip, we chose to stay at The Tree Riverside, a place by the Phetchaburi River with a lot of green space and places to sit and relax. Walk around and breathe the fresh air, it is quite wide, not crowded, there are bicycles to ride, the houses are separate houses, there is a small pond in the house, there is a party corner, very suitable for friends.
