#getgoing2025 Protea Hotel O.R. Tambo Airport is a Marriott-affiliated hotel located near O.R. Tambo Airport, very convenient for transit. I booked a suite (1 king bed). From my room, I could see the airport and many airplanes were parked! If you like airplanes, you will love the view✈️ The room also had a large bathtub to soak away the fatigue of the trip. The chicken burger I ordered from room service was also delicious🍔 There is a large pool on the lobby floor with a great atmosphere. You can also relax in the chairs. Overall, a great hotel! What I love about Johannesburg airport is the myriad of restaurants to dine at after checking in our bags. Nandos, Mugg and Bean are my favourite all rounders but Wimpy always wins when it comes to breakfast. Remember your parking bay colour and number it is huge we struggled to find our car when we arrived.

Calling all Sushi Lovers🍣 Address - Shop 2, Ocean Basket Emperors Palace, Emperors Palace Casino, 64 Jones Rd, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, 1620 Getting There - Easily accessible by your own car (just note the Casino has a parking fee of R10), or using a taxi service like Uber or Bolt 🚖 Ambience/Facilities -  The restaurant itself has an indoor or 'outdoor' seating option. It is very cosy and the staff is extremely friendly. Highlights - For me, it was the mini rolls they bring before your meal 😍 They are just heavenly! Avg. Price per person - about R200. For sushi, they have sushi platters from just R99! Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ These are some of the things on the menu that I would recommend, We ordered the Fried Halloumi, Sushi Platter for 2, Chocolate Lava cake for dessert(Comes with whipped cream or ice cream) and for drinks we got a Watermelon 1L Jug to share!
