World Natural Heritage Jomon Cedar 🌳✨ A 10-hour round trip trek from the Arakawa trailhead ⛰ First, we walk along the 8km long trolley road 🚶 Even though it was a flat road, walking up a gentle slope was harder than we imagined. . Our friends were lively at first, but gradually they started to talk less...lol Fortunately, the weather was good and the sunlight shone through the trees, making it very beautiful ☀️ The moss, unique to Yakushima, was shiny green and really cute ☺️ It was like the world of Princess Mononoke! After about 2 and a half hours, we arrived at the end of the trolley road, and this is where the real climbing begins! First, we climbed a steep slope to the first photo spot, Wilson Stump❤ Wilson Stump is a stump of a Yakusugi tree that is about 3000 years old, and it was cut down by order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1586. When you look up from a certain spot in the hollow, it looks like a heart, so it is a very popular photo spot, and many people were lined up at this time as well🎶 After enjoying some of the sights, we continued walking for another 2 hours and finally found Jomon Sugi! ! ! !
