A train ride away lays the beach

While visiting Riga for a few days you should plan for a half day for visiting one of the beaches , not far away from the city. we choose to visit Jutmala. It’s about a 30 minute train ride away and only cost less than 5euro for a round trip! The train ride is a great way to see and meet the local people of Latvia. In Juvenal we spend 1 h just walking up and down the beach. After the walk we wanted some coffee, so we went in to town and walk around for a hunt! we found a cafe with some lovely cakes and drinks. we walk the street up in the little town and look at all the shops. Mostly cloths and souvenirs things. I got myself a scarf with Latvia red and white color. When our feet stared to hurt we went back to the train station and went back to Riga again.

Located about 25 km from Riga, the museum is easily accessible by train or car. The entrance fee was around 8 EUR, which I thought was very reasonable for the experience. The museum showcases traditional Latvian rural life through a collection of historical buildings, including farmhouses, windmills, and even a schoolhouse. Wandering through the open-air exhibits gave me a real sense of Latvian history and culture. The well-preserved structures are set in a beautiful, natural setting, making it a peaceful place to explore. I particularly enjoyed the demonstrations of traditional crafts and the chance to interact with friendly staff in period costume. Nearby, you can explore the beautiful beaches of Jūrmala or take a stroll down the town’s charming pedestrian street, Jomas iela, which is lined with cafes and shops.
