[Access] About 20 minutes by taxi from Ichinoseki Station (Shinkansen, etc.) [Points] ~Enjoy Cuckoo Dango~ Genbikei is famous for its Cuckoo Dango. The Cuckoo shop owner on the opposite bank pulls a basket with a rope and serves dango and tea, and it looks like the dango is flying in the air. This is a single cherry tree at Koiwai Farm in Iwate Prefecture. I visited during Golden Week. It's not in the garden, so you have to leave the garden and go by car. It takes about 5 minutes. There is a dedicated parking lot. It seems that the flowering was a little late this year, so I was able to see it🌸 It stands alone quite far away, so it might not bother you even if the leaves fall off?? You can check the garden and the flowering status of the single cherry tree on the website, so I recommend checking in advance. Koiwai Farm Makiba-en is located in Iwate Prefecture. I visited during Golden Week. It’s about a 30-minute drive from Morioka Station. Since there weren’t many reviews available, I couldn’t do much research beforehand, but it was more crowded than I expected. However, the spacious grounds made it easy to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. If you go with high expectations, you might feel a bit disappointed. There aren’t any standout attractions, and the areas where you can interact with or see animals are somewhat limited. It’s not a place where you can spend an entire day. I was lucky enough to catch the cherry blossoms just in time, and the weather was perfect for a leisurely stroll around the park. (I also got to see the sheep’s feeding time.) For lunch, I had pizza at the Koiwai Farm Kitchen. As expected, it was delicious. (You purchase tickets via a vending machine. Electronic payment methods were accepted, but PayPay was not.) I had planned to try the soft serve ice cream, but it was too cold, so I had to skip it. That’s my only regret... At the souvenir shop, I ended up buying more than I intended because they had exclusive sweets only available at the farm. In the evening, I revisited the farm for the nighttime illumination event. (You can re-enter by showing your ticket from earlier.) Most of the shops were closed, and it was quite cold, so I just took some photos and left. (It was beautiful, but honestly, my impression was "Hmm...". Since I was nearby, I revisited, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for it.) Still, I was satisfied with the delicious food and the chance to enjoy nature. From Hakodate Station to Morioka Station, I took the Hayabusa from Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station and arrived in a total of 2 hours and 27 minutes 🚅 ☆ Yakiniku Segawa I went to Yakiniku Segawa, which has been selected as one of the 100 best yakiniku restaurants. I ordered a medium-sized plate of salt-grilled meat, tempura meat, pickled vegetables, and beer. I especially like the liver. This time I visited alone, so that's all I ordered, but next time if I come with a group, I'd like to order steak. Many of the customers around me were ordering steak after all. ☆ Morioka Mikoda Morning Market It seems to open from 5:00, but I arrived around 5:40. ★ Kigu-no-bo First, I ordered the hittsumi I was looking for.
