Exploring Khai Dinh Tomb
One of the most remarkable architectural masterpieces we visited in Hue was Khai Dinh Tomb, one of the seven most stunning tombs in the city. Located around 10km from the center of Hue in Thuy Bang commune, Huong Thuy district, the tomb is easily accessible, especially if you're staying at nearby resorts like Pilgrimage or anHill.
We were captivated by the grandeur of the high steps leading up to the tomb, surrounded by a nostalgic atmosphere. From the top, you can admire the lush, green mountains that frame the ancient capital. Khai Dinh Tomb embodies rich historical, cultural, and artistic values, serving as a symbol of the cultural exchange between Vietnam and Western influences during its time.
The tomb's structure is a rectangular block with 127 steps, starting with the Tam Quan gate, followed by Nghi Mon and Bai Dinh yard. The upper two floors, separated by 13 steps each, lead to Thien Dinh Palace at the highest point.
Though the area of the tomb is small, the intricate details reflect the painstaking work of ancient artisans, making this site an unforgettable destination to explore.
