Hotel with sauna in Hiratsuka 3S HOTEL HIRATSUKA
3S HOTEL HIRATSUKA
24-9 Akashicho, Hiratsuka, Kanagawa
TEL 0460-20-2233
Hiratsuka is 35 minutes away from Yokohama Station on the JR Tokaido Line.
It is famous for its Tanabata Festival, and is one of the relay points for the Hakone Ekiden. Chigasaki City, famous for Southern All Stars, is also next door.
This hotel is about a 6-minute walk from Hiratsuka Station. The hotel is located in an arcade street, and there are many restaurants and cafes around the hotel, making it a convenient location.
The hotel's selling point is its sauna. It is only for men, but guests can use it for free. You can't go outside, but there is an open-air bathing area, so it's really relaxing.
The hotel itself seems to have many single rooms, so I think it's suitable for men on a weekend solo trip.

Additionally, this park is one of the best place to visit during the New Year’s first sunrise viewing (hatsu-hinonde) a traditional New Year’s customs in Japan. It is also a good place for hiking, to have a picnic or to unwind.

Hiratsuka Beach Park!!
From the Hiratsuka Station South Exit Bus Stop No. 21, take the Hiratsuka Station South Exit Circular Line (Hira 15/16) and get off at the Shonan Kaigan Koen-mae bus stop.
Hiratsuka Beach is known for one of the Eight Views of Hiratsuka, the 'Sunset over the Hiratsuka Dunes,' and in May, the beach is adorned with blooming beach morning glories.
You can also capture a photo of Mount Fuji with the TV tower of Shonan Daira, one of Hiratsuka's symbolic landmarks, in the background. This spot offers a perfect view of both the sea and Mount Fuji in one frame. Additionally, the dunes and the waves at dusk display a variety of beautiful colors throughout the year.
Tokyo time during spring 2024
I love This time
Kana Garden
#2024wish
A botanical garden located in a peaceful area surrounded by rice fields, a 20-minute bus ride from Hiratsuka Station.
Even if the flowers you're looking for are out of season, each season has a different time of year to see different plants, and as you take a leisurely walk from one end of the spacious grounds to the other, you'll discover unexpected plants growing in unexpected places. I think you can have some fun doing that...
Goods shops and cafes are also recommended.
In 2024, I want to visit this again.
Kaname Water Park
#2024wish
This is a nature park featuring plenty of water, including streams and ponds. From plants to insects, you’ll be able to observe various types of wildlife, including the genjibotaru (a species of Japanese firefly). Firefly viewing is from May through the beginning of June. Visitors are asked to be careful of bringing too much light from things like flashlights. Small but worth a visit park.

The pink house in Hiratsuka
#2024wish
It is located in the park next to Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine and is familiar with the nickname “Western-style building of Hachiman-yama”. Originally it was said that in the Meiji period around 1907, the manufacturing of Nippon Powder was beginning production by the Japanese Navy, the Japanese Navy and the English Nobel Company and other plants were jointly established for this, and the present Western-style building was said to be used as an office and a residence of a British manager.

Hiratsuka Museum of Art
#2024wish
About an hour from Tokyo on the train, Hiratsuka lies firmly in commuter-belt territory, a medium-sized town with standard amenities present and correct. I was there one day to see a soccer game at local club Shonan Bellmare, and with some time to spare before kick-off, I decided to visit the nearby Hiratsuka Museum of Art.
In 2024, I want to travel to this place again.
Hiratsuka Hachimangu Shrine
#2024wish
I have read from other reviewers that maybe it's considered small, but to me, it has a lot of character. I was visiting the shrine on December 31, during the day, and it was a bright beautiful sunny day. Pretty much a five to ten minute walk north from Hiratsuka Station. My friend wanted to come here to pay respect and to pray. Upon entering, there are two ponds on either side of the entrance, with Koi fish and ducks. The layout of the shrine area was really nice and the grounds were beautiful.

Kanagawa Public Kana Garden
#2024wish
The vast Kana Garden is one of the best photo spots in the Kanto region offering a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji.
As well as admiring cherry blossom and roses, you can harvest seasonal vegetables. In the spring there are over 50 varieties of cherry blossom. The rose garden is one of the largest in the Kanto region, and is famous for its spring and autumn roses, with around 1,300 varieties of wild and cultivated roses. The garden’s "Rose Trail" allows you to follow the history of rose breeding by strain and classification. A must-visit if you love flowers!
In 2024, I want to come here again.
Hiratsuka City Park
#2024wish
This is a wide park in Hiratsuka. You can have a picnic with your family and friends. There is a small petting zoo within the park as well, I cannot remember how much it cost but it was very cheap. If you are visiting, its best to catch the train, as parking can be a nightmare. Overall a good day for the family!
In 2024, I want to come back here again with my friends.
Komayama Park
#2024wish
Shonandaira (Komayama Park) is located at an altitude of about 180m, you can see the sea of Shonan, the city of Hiratsuka, Mt. Fuji and sunset. Notably the 360-degree panoramic view from the top of the rest house observation tower is superb. On a sunny day, you can see Enoshima, Miura Peninsula, Boso Peninsula and Oshima off the coast.
In 2024, I want to visit this place again.
Hiratsuka General Park
The Hiratsuka General Park is one of the popular destinations in Hiratsuka. A lot of tourists and locals gather here on holidays. There are various sport and recreation facilities here -- a red roof playground, a roller coaster, a climbing tree, a petting zoo, and a Japanese garden. There are more than 100,000 trees of 230 kinds grown inside the park, too!
The park is also home to the J-League professional football team, the Eastern League professional baseball team and the B-League professional basketball team. Enjoy your holidays here!

The Shonan Tanabata Summer Festival, Hiratsuka
#summerfest
Tanabata Festival (七夕)is one of the festival based on the folklore of the love story of a celestial maiden and a commoner shepherd, where they were only allowed to meet on this particular day during the year. The Tanabata Festival in Hiratsuka is the biggest within the region and you will see colourful lanterns hanging around the streets, dancers performing and street vendors selling street food. Typically many shops will also hang the bamboo trees as a sign of good fortune. People from all around the area even those from Tokyo will also travel down to join the fun and the atmosphere. Of course, this is also a good opportunity to invite your love ones as a dating event.
Its better to have a tasteful bud tour when you are in good spring.
Japanese cuisine pays attention to the atmosphere and the beauty of the color, and you only need to bring a good mood, meet three or five friends, come to a date. When shochu meets Calpis, it is strong and fresh.
,tempura, fresh and tender fish, refined and elegant.
