Mysterious Terrain of Hampi
Why does this place have such unique terrain? The surrounding area is filled with rocks. It’s a location that truly showcases the vastness and beauty of India. The area is divided into two parts by a river. On the other side of the river, the area is quite expansive, so renting a bike to explore is recommended.
There are no direct buses to Hampi; instead, Hospet serves as the destination for travelers coming from nearby cities.

Sunrise at the Birthplace of Hanuman🌅
🌅Anjanadri Hill is the birthplace of Hanuman. To enjoy the sunrise, you have to start hiking at least at 5a.m. It is a sacred place where you can see sages. The sunrise feels very sacred because you can meditate there while waiting for the sunrise and do a gentle yogi eye cleansing by staring at the sunrise for a short period of time, as it is said that the energy of the sun can purify and energize us.
🏞️The river in the picture is River Tungabhadra, which is one of the main rivers in southern India. The mythology behind this river is that this river is formed from the sweat of Varaha Swamy (the 3rd reincarnation of Vishnu). At that time, he just finished fighting with a demon, called Hiranyaksha.
🐒You can also see a lot of cute monkeys there. Monkeys always do some funny things. I even saw a monkey climb on a person when he was meditating!
This is genuinely a beautiful hike that sets the entire day the right direction. Immersing yourself in this good energy of the mountains and temple first thing in the morning is always a great thing to do in your Hampi trip👍🏼

A historical tour in Hampi— UNESCO World Heritage
India is well-known for its ancient temples and palace. If you have the chance to visit southern India, Hampi is really worth the visit, as it is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can immerse yourself in the ancient time and let yourself amazed by the beautiful architecture people in the past built. Hampi is quite a big region. Within it, there are some sites that you must visit. I’ve written them all below:
📍Vijaya Vittala Temple (5th & 9th picture)
You can see the exact chariot on your 50 rupees! This heritage is eye opening. It is probably the oldest architecture I’ve ever seen.
💰Average Price per Person: 40 rupees for Indians / 600 rupees for foreigners
📍Queen’s Bathhouse
It is a really beautiful and big bathhouse with delicate sculptures for the queen in the past.
📍Mahanavami Dibba (16th & 17th picture)
It was a platform for royal ceremonies and public celebrations. The 9-day Navratri festival was especially celebrated here.
📍Hazara Rama Temple (15th picture)
Lord Rama is the reincarnation of Krishna. The wall of the temple tells the story of Rama. One beautiful depiction is the dancing women at the Dasara festival.
📍Elephant Stables (4th picture)
This is a place the royal elephants used to stay. They even made the houses of elephants so beautiful.
📍Hampi Museum
This museum features Indian and Islamic artifacts. You can see the Indo-Islamic architecture of Lotus Mahal.
📍Laxmi-Narasimha Temple
Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess responsible for wealth, fortune, and prosperity. There is the largest statue at Hampi.
📍Hemakuta Parvata and Virupaksha Temple (1st, 12th, 14th picture)
I suggest you go this place for the last part of your day-trip, so you enjoy the beautiful sunset here, which marks a beautiful ending🌅 In this temple, there is a mysterious wonder that people cannot figure out. When you go inside, you can see the reflection of the temple on the stone with color. Usually shadow should be black, but this one has color. Take note of it and see it yourself when you visit it🧐
I am really grateful to have the chance to witness these magnificent heritage. I hope my post can help you make your trip memorable and meaningful. Thank you for reading it🙏🏼🔆Hope you have a nice day😊
