Booked an hour private room outdoor onsen in Hotel Clad. Cost is 70k Yen per hour. Have to make reservations as the private onsens rooms are limited. You dont have to be hotel guests to use the onsen. The room is spacious and clean. There is a dining area in the room, so you can order food to have it there after the hot bath. Went at night, is so dark that I can't see any view. Hope to go back again and dip in the onsen during the daytime! Sakura Park is on the right hand side if you go straight from Gotemba Station on Prefectural Route 23 heading west towards Mt. Fuji. There are parking lots, management buildings, public toilets, and plenty of playground equipment, so many families come to play. From the ground, the power lines get in the way of seeing Mt. Fuji, but from the observation deck (?) in the shape of Mt. Fuji, you can see a spectacular view all the way to the base. #spamagic The Private Onsen at Hotel Clad is an amazing experience. I was able to select which room I wanted and booked the room for an hour. The room was for 2 persons and had a nice sitting area tatami-style, and the private Onsen was outdoors complete with a shower area next to it. The room was relatively new, clean and cozy. Highly recommend reservations as on a clear day, one might be even able to catch unblocked views of Mt Fuji! I will be back! 🙌🏻
