A bit further out in the Lysefjord you’ll find the equally dramatic Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock).
Situated 604 metres above the fjord, this peculiarly square cliff has been named one of the world’s most spectacular viewpoints by Lonely Planet.
Ryfylke is made up of mighty nature with fjords and mountains, from the Lysefjord in the south to the Ryfylke Scenic Route and Sauda in the north.
The main attraction is the magnificent nature, which provides numerous opportunities for an active holiday.
Take on the 4,444 steps from the roadless hamlet Flørli.
And be sure to get a taste of nature. The word Ryfylke comes from “rye”, but the local pantries are stocked with many other goodies too.
Bite into jummy, juicy apples or enjoy award-winning apple cider. Here you will also find the only winery in Fjord Norway.
I reccomend you this beautiful country with a lot of view points areas!

Norway's most famous fjord looks like this!
Sognefjord!
Norway's most famous fjord, to get a full view of it, of course, of course, of course, you have to experience it by boat!
🕘【Visiting Time】: Departing from the town of Flam, arriving at the town of Gudvangen, the whole journey is 2h
💴【Ticket Price】: Less than 40 euros/adult
⛺【Cruise Content】: The cruise we took departs from the town of Flam, yes, that's the super popular tourist distribution center, which is said to be able to dock vessels of ten thousand tons, with souvenir shops, restaurants, small trains, cruises, and many other facilities. It's perfect to depart from here to experience the nearby fjord scenery.
The ship will travel along the Sognefjord all the way to Gudvangen, and the scenery along the way is called the most spectacular Norwegian fjord scenery. Because the early spring has passed and there is still snow on the mountains, the towering rocks on both sides are majestic and magnificent, and the water surface is even more sparkling, it's simply a tailor-made travel project for individuals.
🚌【Transportation Tips】: To take the Sognefjord cruise, the most convenient way is to drive to Flam or Gudvangen, and then go to the pier to check tickets and board the ship. There are two route options, and the content of the tour is the same in the middle, 2 hours.
A must-experience in Norway in this lifetime! Sognefjord Cruise😊
🇳🇴A small town Flåm in Norway
It is a small town on our way from Oslo to Bergen, where we stopped and slept for one night.
It is very small that you can walk around it in hour, so there is no enough entertainment thing but only wonderful view- the mountain, the lake, the sky, the grass, everything was like brushed by the god!
However, it is too small to find many restaurants. We only eat in our hotel and a bistro belonged to this hotel.
An indelible imprint on my soul.
Nestled amidst the grandeur of southwestern Norway, my visit to Fläm was an immersion into breathtaking natural beauty. As I stood at the edge of Aurlandsfjord, the vastness of the landscape enveloped me, with the Stegastein viewing platform offering an exhilarating perspective.
The quaint Flam Church, a relic from the 17th century, exuded a sense of history and tranquility in the valley below. Embarking on the Flam Railway journey, I was mesmerized by the cascading waterfalls and picturesque valleys unfolding before my eyes as the train ascended to the Hardangervidda plateau. Each moment in Fläm felt like a brushstroke of nature's masterpiece, leaving an indelible imprint on my soul.

The call of Valhalla
#2024wish I really want to go Iceland to complete the full circle. I just can not get enought of the culture and history. Seeing the northern lights again would be a blessing.
Brekke Gard | Hostel in Flam, Norway
The hostel we stayed at was called Brekke Gard, which was about 550 meters from the train station. According to Google Maps, the accommodation was actually quite far from the train station, about 1 km (to sum it up, we were tricked a little bit). As for getting to the hostel, you might be a little confused about the directions, but to be sure, try asking the staff at the Tourist Center near the train station. I guarantee you won't get lost (even though you might get lost a little while walking because it looks so far away from people).
You can see that the accommodation is very much in the middle of nature. But it's a little disappointing because during the time that the author stayed, there was construction in many places, especially in front of the hostel. This was because there had been flooding in the surrounding area and along the river before.

Bicycling and Walking around Flam, Norway
The next day, we had almost a full day left because of a slight change in plans. At first, we planned to take the train from Flam at around 12:00 to Oslo to stay for 1 night before continuing on to Stockhom. However, we wanted to save on hostel fees, so we booked an overnight train instead and left Flam at 18:40. Therefore, since we had plenty of time, the next most popular activity after the boat ride was cycling to see the city. The brochure we received listed several walking and cycling routes. We chose to rent for 2 hours and chose 2 routes: the route to Flam church

นั่งเรือชมฟยอร์ดที่ Flam, Norway
After nearly 4 hours of enjoying the beautiful nature, we arrived at a town in the middle of a valley and full of fjords called Flam. This small town should be enough for a full day. While waiting for the time to check in to our accommodation, we met Uncle Robert, who is from New York but lives in Mexico. At first, we didn't have a clear plan for which package to buy to see the fjords. After talking, Uncle Robert suggested choosing a package from Flam to Gudvangen. The boat will sail through 2 fjords: Aurlandsfjord and Nærøy fjord. For the round trip by Minibus, the atmosphere along the way for almost 3 hours, I can only say that it is very beautiful. #Travelwithtrip2024 #SecretPlace #BeautifulPhotoPlace #BeautifulPhotoPlace #NatureTherapy #MissNature
Myrdal – Flam (Flambana) railway line
The Myrdal – Flam (Flambana) railway is also known as The twenty line because it took more than 20 years to build, with an initial budget of approximately NOK 20 million. It is 20 km long and passes through 20 tunnels. In addition, this railway line is also said to be one of the most beautiful railway lines in the world.
For the Myrdal – Flam line, there will be a highlight when the train arrives at the station called Kjosfossen. Passengers will be able to get off the train and experience the waterfall named after the station for 5 minutes. I must say that it is definitely 5D level because you will feel the steam spreading everywhere, as well as the sound of the crashing water, along with the music and dance moves of the girl in red who will come out to dance near the waterfall like a fairy tale.
The atmosphere on the train, everyone looks very excited.
After that, when the train arrives at Berekvam station, the train will stop to switch tracks. This station is the only station with double tracks and both the outbound and return trains will meet. Note: The important view from Myrdal – Flam will be described during the journey. So don't be afraid that we will miss the atmosphere and important landmarks. Just listen carefully or read the monitor that shows.
Tips:
1. Taking this train line will have beautiful views for us to see all along both sides of the way, alternating. So if anyone wants to enjoy both sides at the same time, you can do so by standing near the coach (carriage), where there will be a small glass panel for us to peek and take pictures as we like.
2. If you want to sit and relax, the best place is to sit by the window and face the train because Therefore, rushing up to reserve a seat quickly is more than half the battle. And if you want to take a picture with Kjosfossen Waterfall as a backdrop, get ready before entering the station and get off the train quickly when the officer gives the signal.

Norway 🇳🇴 || Three amazing stones + the most beautiful train journey
Norway's three peculiar stones: Pulpit Rock, Miracle Stone, and Devil's Tongue. Pulpit Rock is the most famous and one of the landmarks of Norway's fjords. It is also the most popular hiking destination among the three stones and relatively easy to reach. Pulpit Rock is located in Lysefjord, 604 meters above sea level, and is actually a rock cliff suspended high above the fjord.

✨Spend Christmas🎄 in the tranquil town of Flåm, Norway in Northern Europe.

🌟Bonfire, log cabin, colorful lights🎊, fulfilling all my fantasies about Western Christmas📸.
Adventure at the End of the Road
Flåm is a quiet town nestled somewhere at the innermost of Aurlandsfjord, an arm of the 204-km long and up to 1308 meter deep Sognefjord. If you hop in to the famous Flam Railway and take the ride to the end and drop off the last station, you'd be right by Flam.
Flam, though seeking quiet and a small town, has countless things to offer. Nestled between tall, steep mountains and sitting ever so photogenically on the shore of the Aurlandsfjord, this small yet magnificent village looks like a postcard from heaven.
If you want to experience the nature, you won`t get any closer to the fjord than in Flam. If you crave an adrenaline rush, flying through the beautiful Flam valley by taking a zipline is amongst the best things to do in Flam. Flåm Zipline is the longest zipline in Scandinavia, with a total length of 1381 metres! The flight can last over 90 seconds if you are lucky, and it is such an incredible experience.
It is indeed an adventure waiting at the end of the road, or I say rail. A travel wishlist for everyone to try.
