Dongxing is situated on the southwestern corner of the Chinese coast on the border with Vietnam. It is an important port for trade between China and Southeast Asia. The Beilun River forms the border between China and the Vietnamese town of Móng Cái. Dongxing is known for its fine sandy beaches, crystal-clear seawater and stunning sunset views. Popular destinations include Dongxing Jingdao Scenic Area, which boasts picturesque coastal scenery and traditional local culture.

...a taste of Vietnam in China 🇻🇳🇨🇳
The Vietnam Street area is located in Dongxing City, southern Guangxi Province, on the Chinese side of the border with Vietnam, just adjacent to the main border gate itself. To get to Dongxing, you must take a train to Fangchenggang North train station, and then drive around one hour southwest from there to reach this city. Alternatively, you can drive from Nanning or Baise. The area itself is several blocks, connected by various narrow alleys that have a certain charm about them. Here, you will find various places to buy souvenirs, imported goods, furniture, as well as food and drink from across the border. It is a pleasant place to come for a walk and interact with the people selling things here, likewise for merchants, items can be bought here too. At the time of my visit, the border gate was still closed, however this is expected to change in early 2023...and I think this whole area will come to life even more! The best time to visit is late morning or early evening. Morning time for a nice coffee, and evening time for seeing the area lit up with lanterns. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit here. Leave a couple of hours to see it all!

Sri Lanka has stilt fishing, and there are sorghum shrimps in Jingdao. Have you seen it? Jingdao is located in Dongxing City, Guangxi Province, and is a settlement of Jing people. The Jing people here have migrated from Vietnam about 500 years ago and are the only marine people in China. Since ancient times, the Jing people have explored the experience of sorghum fishing for shrimp, but there are very few people now.
Guide to Avoiding Pitfalls on a One-Day Tour of Dongxing, a Border Town
Before going, I thought I had read enough guides, but I still fell into a few traps... (Summarized some points that other bloggers rarely mention 😭)
-
Dongxing is located in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi, right across from Mong Cai, Vietnam, so there are many things with a 🇻🇳 flavor~ There are also Vietnamese people doing small businesses here.
⭐Main Check-in Points:
1. Dongxing National Gate Scenic Area
2. Beilun River, the border river between China and Vietnam
3. The No. 5 Boundary Marker of the Qing Dynasty
4. China-Vietnam Beilun River Bridge
5. China-Vietnam People's Friendship Park, Ho Chi Minh Pavilion, China-Vietnam People's Revolutionary Martyrs Monument
6. Vietnam Style Street
7. Saigon Coffee
-
⚠️Food & Pitfall Points:
1. Vietnamese Chicken Noodles (Hua Jie and San Jie seem to be good), but note that most noodle shops may close at 5 PM. Not sure if it's better during holidays, but it's recommended to eat early 😭😭😭
2. Street-side balut (I personally can't accept it)
3. Street-side coconuts 🥥 cost about five or six yuan each, sweet and recommended
4. Street-side French bread, about ten yuan for five or six pieces, not expensive, you can try some (the coconut-flavored ones are better than the plain ones)
6. Vietnamese snacks: instant noodles, yogurt, all around one or two yuan, worth a try.
8. Street-side spring rolls/fried bananas/fried shrimp cakes are recommended to buy from Vietnamese vendors, their prices are cheaper than local vendors (but they also leave around five or six PM)
9. Saigon Coffee, we didn't have time to drink it, just took a few photos and left in a hurry.

🔷Dongxing is not big, the attractions are connected, walking + sharing is completely OK for a one-day tour, with a per capita cost of one or two hundred yuan.
🔷Recommended to combine with Fangchenggang Jintan Beach or Mong Cai, Vietnam for a trip.
🍎iPhones will automatically adjust the time difference, one hour behind
❗Although Vietnamese snacks are cheap, it is recommended not to buy their 🚬, they may be fake.

🌟 Of course, a tour around China wouldn't be complete without a road trip! A tourist route composed of three national highways lets you explore snow-capped mountains, deserts, and the sea! 💪
In addition to the highly anticipated new G219 national highway, did you know that two equally stunning highways are under construction? These three highways together form a travel route for a tour around China, so let's get excited 🚗💨
Let's take a look at an overview of these three national highways!
🛣️ G219 Line: Kanas—Dongxing Highway, with a total length of 10,065 kilometers, passing through four provinces and regions: Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan, and Guangxi. Starting from Kanas, it goes through the Ili Grassland, the ancient city of Kashgar, Mount Everest, and finally reaches the Dongxing Port in Guangxi. There are so many attractions that you'll be captivated! 🏞️🏔️
🛣️ G331 Line: Dandong—Altay Highway, with a total length of 9,301 kilometers, passing through five provinces and regions: Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang. It crosses the Tianshan Mountains, the Hulunbuir Grassland, the Changbai Mountain area, and more, offering breathtaking scenery! 🌲🌾
🛣️ G228 Line: Liaoning Dandong to Guangxi Dongxing Highway, with a total length of 7,800 kilometers, passing through ten provinces and regions: Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangxi. It runs along the coastline, connecting cities like Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, and finally reaching Dongxing Port. The scenery along the way is so beautiful that you won't want to stop! 🌊🌴
The three national highways have a combined length of 27,165 kilometers. Assuming an average of 300 kilometers driven per day and a cost of 400 yuan, it would take about 90 days and 36,000 yuan to complete this magnificent self-driving tour around China! 💪
The most eye-catching of these is the new G219 national highway, which will become the longest national highway in China (currently, the longest is the G318 line). Let's all look forward to the completion of the new G219 and add more excitement to our self-driving journey! 🌟
Refuse to be in a crowd this May Day! Come to a seaside vacation B&B in Guangxi
This one I'm quite reluctant to share...
It's too comfortable to stay in
The whole family is very satisfied with the trip!
🏨: Dongxing's Tea Ancient Courtyard by the seaside
The room is bigger than I expected
Strong design sense and reasonable layout
The surrounding area is very quiet, and I slept so well at night~
🍃The B&B's courtyard is beautifully arranged
Lots of pretty green plants
There are public areas with a tea pavilion, coffee house, restaurant, and book bar
There's also a playful swing~children's play area~
📖🍵☕️🍽️🛝
Thoughtfully set up a photo spot at Jintan Beach
You can stay and take pictures without going out
If you're tired, you can order a seafood feast at the hotel
The value for money is much higher than outside
The taste is very good, salty and fragrant in moderation
The elders say it's delicious
If you want to have fun, you can set off fireworks in the yard or go squid fishing🦑
It's just a pity that this time the visit was too rushed
Next time I will definitely have a good experience~

Fangchenggang, Guangxi | Dongxing Self-Driving Travel Guide
Dongxing Self-Driving Travel Guide. Head south, hit the road, and just go!
Second stop: Dongxing, Fangchenggang, Guangxi!
Suggested travel route: Fangchenggang - Bailang Beach - Guaishi Beach - Wanwei Golden Beach - Dongxing Port
You must visit Guaishi Beach, it's incredibly scenic, and there are many wedding photoshoots there. The food at Dongxing Port is delicious, and you can travel around the entire small town with just an electric scooter! Food recommendations:
-Zhenji Seafood Porridge, Seafood Noodles (You must try the seafood noodles, the seafood porridge has too much pig liver and is a bit fishy)
-Three Sisters Grilled Meat Noodles (The grilled meat noodles are really delicious! They are my top choice in Dongxing)
-Three Sisters Chicken Noodles (I prefer the dry chicken noodles - they have a sweet and sour taste, and the Vietnamese bread is also super tasty)
-Rongshugen Sweet Soup (You can blindly go for the coconut milk ice and taro sugar - it's a night market, not open during the day)
-Menghuo Roasted Chicken (It's just simple fried chicken, feels average)
-Tianxiake Seafood (Go to the market to buy seafood and have it processed, this way it's cheaper)
Accommodation: It's recommended to stay around Dongxing Port for convenience in walking; due to time constraints, I didn't go to Mang Street in Vietnam, but those who want to can join a one-day tour, it's not expensive!
Real Experience | Real Taste, Little Fish will accompany you to eat and stroll~
If you can't make it to Wanning, come to Fangchenggang instead
Fangchenggang, a city full of wonder😲, is large in scale and has a dispersed layout👀. Travelers who have had a poor experience👤 are almost always those without cars🚗, simply because the traffic situation in Fangchenggang is indescribable😫.
🚝Regarding transportation🚌:
It is recommended to choose self-driving🚘.
There are high-speed trains running from Nanning East to Fangchenggang North from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm, with a ticket price of 43 yuan💰.
PS: The inconvenience of transportation will only become apparent after arriving in Fangchenggang. Here, the bus schedules are sparse🚌, and even if you wait, there is no way to know when they will arrive😵. It is recommended to choose ride-hailing services🚗 or taxis🚕. Before taking a taxi, open the map🗺 to check the distance to your destination, so you can judge whether the driver's charge is reasonable. If it's not, you can complain to the platform🤷 or negotiate the price with the driver before getting in💰.
🏠Regarding accommodation🛏:
Fangchenggang is divided into three areas: the Port Area, the Central Area, and the Fangcheng District. Attractions are mainly concentrated in the Port Area, where it is recommended for friends who drive to choose hotels🏨; the Central Area has more convenient transportation🚇, suitable for friends who do not drive.
For group stays, homestays are an option, as they are generally clean and not expensive in Fangchenggang, with an average price of seventy yuan per person for a decent house🏠.
During the off-season, it is recommended to stay at the Saville Resort Hotel for three hundred yuan per night📍; during the peak season, it is not highly recommended due to the high prices and large crowds👥.
💡Regarding attractions🌅:
Inside the city: To the west👉 there are Sankuaishi, Bailang Beach, Guai Shi Beach, and Bailang Bay; to the east👉 there are Leshan Ancient Fishing Village, Qisha Seafood Market, and Volcano Island Park.
Outside the city: There are the Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Bridge, Wanwei Golden Beach, and Dongxing Port.
1⃣Sankuaishi🧐:
A popular spot for wedding photography in Fangchenggang, recommended for sisters who love taking photos, with a white church on the right⛪ (a popular check-in spot). However, during holidays and peak seasons, an entrance fee of thirty yuan may be charged🎫, while at night it is free, and you can also come to dig for crabs🦀.
2⃣Bailang Beach🌊:
Accessible by bus, you can also ride a shared electric bike from Sankuaishi; friends who drive can park at the parking lot at the entrance. In the summer, it is advised to go out after three o'clock, as the beach sun is intense🌞, and visitors mainly gather on the beach near the entrance. If you walk to the left along the coastline, there are fewer people, making it easier to take photos📷.
3⃣Guai Shi Beach🪨:
You can go out to sea on a fishing boat, costing three hundred yuan (negotiable down to two hundred and seventy yuan), and the seafood caught can be taken away and cooked at a restaurant, allowing you to enjoy a seafood feast🦞.
4⃣Leshan Ancient Fishing Village🏡:
It is a bit far, requiring more than an hour's drive. The accommodation prices in the fishing village range from eighty to one hundred and fifty yuan, mostly family hotels. After arriving, you can view the rooms before deciding. The small fishing village is suitable for watching the sunrise and sea foraging, and if you want to experience the life of a fisherman, you can stay for a night. There are many seafood stalls by the sea, offering affordable dining (large portions).
5⃣Haizhen Road Market🐟:
A market with a good price-performance ratio in the city, with varying prices, and bargaining is necessary before purchasing. The processing fee is calculated by weight, ranging from ten to twenty-five yuan.
6⃣Qisha Seafood Market🦐:
Better value for money than Haizhen Road Market, with a rich variety of seafood at low prices. The processing fees are not much different from the two markets. The processing shops near the market charge relatively less (they only offer processing, not ordering). PS: At Qisha's deep-water pier, the boat fare is only two yuan, and you can take a boat to pick up shells🐚.
🤷Impressions🤔:
Personally, I think Fangchenggang is worth a visit👏, suitable for enjoying a seaside holiday. Find a beautiful homestay or hotel, stay for a few days, open the door to see the sea, with few people on the streets, it's simply blissful😄. I wish everyone a pleasant holiday🎉.
Wanwei Golden Beach Journey: A Dreamy Seaside Homestay Experience
I discovered a picturesque seaside accommodation at Wanwei Golden Beach, which is exceptionally charming for taking photos. After sharing it on social media, my friends thought I went on a vacation abroad...
This homestay is equipped with three swimming pools of different styles, offering villa-style suites and rooms with sea views, as well as a restaurant. Just by looking up, you can see the sea, which is refreshing and delightful. The decor is heavily inspired by Santorini Island, making any corner a great spot for photography📷. Nearby is the Wanwei Farmers Market, where you can buy fresh seafood and enjoy homemade delicacies🦐. After a meal, take a walk along the beach, admire the sunset, feel the gentle sea breeze, and enjoy a time of utter comfort.
🚗 Navigation tip: Search for 'Wanwei Golden Beach Qulang Homestay' to get there.
Spring Festival Trip to Guangxi | Taking Parents to Dongxing Port to Experience Vietnamese Culture
Took my parents to Dongxing Port in Fangchenggang, which is located on the beautiful coast of Beibu Gulf. It is the southern starting point of the motherland's land border and coastline, connected to Vietnam by land and sea. It is only 100 meters away from the Mangjie Port of Vietnam.
❤ Recommended Reasons:
✅ The No.5 Boundary Marker of the Qing Dynasty
On April 14, 1890, the Governor of Qinzhou, Li Shoutong, and the French official Labadi set up a stone agreement along the river border from Zhushan to Jialong (now Jialong Village, Nathong Township, Fangcheng District), arranging them in order. The first marker was inside Zhushan Village of Dongxing City, and the markers were arranged along the border line to the Dongxing urban area, with the Dongxing Port area being the fifth.
Address: Intersection of Xinhua Road and Hedao Road, Dongxing City
✅ Beilun River
Beilun River, the boundary river between China and Vietnam, is the mother river of Dongxing, with a total length of 107 kilometers. The Beilun River originates from two places, one of which is Beilun Mountain in Naliang Town, hence the name. In the spring of 1962, the famous Chinese playwright and poet Tian Han came to Dongxing and composed 'Beilun River,' which includes the beautiful lines 'On the creek stones by the border bridge, washerwomen face each other at dusk with their pounding sounds.' It describes the unique scenery of the boundary river.
✅ Dongxing 'Bund' Riverside Street
Dongxing Riverside Street, facing Mangjie of Vietnam across the river, has a history of several hundred years. It is not only the forefront of Dongxing's opening up but also the window of the national gate city. The Southeast Asian style architectural complex is the best embodiment of Dongxing's absorption and integration of foreign cultures. As night falls, willows bathe in the breeze, witnessing the curling smoke from both banks, the bright lights, the golden waterway with competing sails, and a hundred boats racing, forming a unique cultural landscape of the Bund.
Address: Hedao Road, Dongxing City

Another high-speed rail has opened! A super low-key seaside town, with an average temperature of 22℃ in March
Just a few days ago, Guangxi's first cross-sea high-speed rail, the Fangchenggang-Dongxing Railway, quietly opened. This is also the first railway from China to the Vietnam border, not only connecting the picturesque Liuzhou and the laid-back Nanning, but also allowing you to take a train to see the sea!
Because on the Fangchenggang-Dongxing Railway, there lies a hidden gem of a coastal town—Fangchenggang.
Stepping out the door, you're greeted by the vast sea, streets filled with Vietnamese charm, and a never-ending supply of seafood and fruits throughout the year, making it the perfect place to escape the crowds and relax for a while!
The town is very warm, even in winter the temperature can reach 20℃, and it's like spring all year round. It seems to be cherished by spring and summer, with clear blue skies, crystal-clear sunlight, soft clouds, and trees lining the streets always bursting with endless greenery, inviting you to sit under their shade and bask in the sun all day long.
The cost of living in the town is also not high, and you can have a comfortable time without spending much. An average of ¥80 can get you a room with a sea view, 2 yuan for a roll of rice noodles, 3 yuan for an oyster, and 10 yuan for 3 jin of Wogan (a type of citrus fruit), plus a bowl of seafood porridge with generous toppings for just over 10 yuan, giving you a mouthful of freshness.
The 580-kilometer-long coastline outlines the vastness and romance of the town. You can walk on the undisturbed beaches, gaze at the distant lighthouses, listen to the magnificent reefs and waves, and follow the quiet paths leading to the seaside... letting you see the sea in all its myriad forms at once.
1️⃣ It's not recommended to go to Baisha Bay, Guai Shi Beach, or Bailang Beach during holidays (extremely crowded), but you can visit during off-peak times.
2️⃣ Wanwei Golden Beach is recommended for its fewer people and more food, and you can stay in a homestay close to the sea, with the ocean right outside your window.
3️⃣ Fishing Village: Navigate to Leshan Ancient Fishing Village, it's very, very beautiful! You can rent a boat to go fishing, 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ per boat. You can also go out to catch seafood in the morning, before 10:30 am.
4️⃣ Dongxing Day Trip: A border town about 45km from Fangchenggang, separated from Vietnam by just a bridge and a river. Check out Vietnam Street, Dongxing Port, and the No.1 Boundary Marker of the Qing Dynasty to experience the Vietnamese culture.
Eat:
1️⃣ San Jie Chicken Rice Noodles, so, so, so delicious! The dry mix is more flavorful than the soup noodles. Expect to queue for 1 hour~
2️⃣ Yi Zhong Sweet Soup, the 8 yuan signature taro balls are really generous, recommended with coconut milk flavor
3️⃣ Saigon Coffee: Drip coffee, personally prefer it with milk
4️⃣ Seafood: You can buy it at Wanwei Seafood Market, then find a roadside stall by the sea or on the street to have it cooked.
5️⃣ For those who like snail noodles, you can try Changhuijia, although it's a chain, the taste is really good! Recommended in a clay pot
Dongxing Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Park
The Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Park in the center of Dongxing City, Guangxi, includes monuments and the Temple of Guan Yu. Despite being winter, the scenery is still lush and green, which is very visually pleasing to me as a northerner. This place is considered a natural high point in Dongxing city, where you can see Vietnam across the Beilun River. Due to its geographical location, the winter temperature is warmer, making it suitable for travel.
Strolling through Dongxing, one glimpses the beauty of the place
I was born in 1973, across the Beilun River where there was a 'brotherly affection'; in 1979, my brother was born, and our father, who was in the military unit involved in the war, named him with the imprint of 'self-defense counterattack'. The brotherly affection is preserved in the museum, and the remnants of war are hidden in the streets. The boundary markers of the Qing Dynasty, the boundary markers of New China, barbed wire, the bustling border trade with large and small packages... The Beilun River remains silent, yet every moment, every breath, is history... Dongxing·Fangchenggang

brianna.likes.acetylcholine Dongxing, Guangxi, I'm here to daze and eat fruit
This time I accidentally found the Tea Ancient Courtyard B&B.
👍Most recommended:
✅Must experience:
My favorite milk fruit at the Vietnam Street Dongxing Port is finally available again. At this time, the egg fruit is also in season, if you like, you can buy it.
🏞【Destination Guide】
🧳Preparation before departure: A thicker piece of clothing, it started to warm up today, no more rain
🚗Transportation strategy: Highly recommended for self-driving
🛏Hotel information: The B&B strongly recommends living in the Tea Ancient Courtyard in Jintan, the places for drinking tea in the bookstore and water bar are all my favorites. In fact, I have seen a lot, but many are either too small or there is no public area, the atmosphere is still a bit worse, so this time the Tea Ancient Courtyard B&B is the most proud choice of this journey. You can refer more for leisure travel.
🌟Local must check-in: Xingmu Coffee, there is also a B&B, but I still like to experience the local customs, you choose for yourself, Dongxing drip coffee must drink, Donghui coffee is also good
🍽Food strategy: Just recommend Wanwei Farmers Market, I bought it back to the Tea Ancient Courtyard for processing, already drunk.
🛍Shopping strategy: Just buy Southeast Asian snacks on Vietnam Street
💗Travel feelings: Quiet, niche
📌Small Tips: Must self-drive, the transportation here is still inconvenient, non-commercial places are probably like this.

|I'm in Fangchenggang, I want to exchange a sunset picture with you.
Not a popular tourist destination, but in my heart it is no less than any coastal city, everywhere on the coastline is a view, and none of them are repeated. I've started to miss the seaside sunset here.
Personal selection of the most beautiful sunset viewing points:
Wanwei Golden Beach: A must-visit spot in Fangchenggang, golden beach, facing Vietnam across the sea.
Near Shanxin Beach: A small popular spot accidentally discovered while touring along the coastline, between Shanxin Beach and Qisha Lighthouse, there is a long corridor, the sunset glow is really beautiful!
060 Country Road: On the way from Golden Beach to Dongxing, accidentally passed a small road,! The road is very narrow and not easy to park, you can search for "Shawei", there are many fishing boats in the sea in the evening, it is really
For those who plan to go to Fangchenggang for the National Day, please take note, it's hard to find complete information
Last stop of the National Day —— Fangchenggang
For those who plan to come to Fangchenggang, here are some suggestions for you
-
🌟Suggestions:
【Accommodation】Don't stay too far out, it's hard to get a taxi, and it's inconvenient to go out and play. You can stay in the port area and Lepo Ancient Fishing Village
【Food】If you want to eat seafood, you can buy it at the market in Qisha Town, which is fresh and cheap (I heard that the seafood market there is much cheaper than Beihai)
【Beach】Don't go to Paradise Corner, the waves are big, the place is small, it's not very fun
【Transportation】The distance between attractions is quite far, if you can drive, it's more convenient, you can also rent a small electric car; some attractions, it's not easy to get a taxi at night
-
❓Which beach is fun
✔️Qisha Changti
It's next to Qisha Market, you can catch stone crabs on the sea embankment on both sides, Changti extends about 1km into the sea, there is also a 🗼lighthouse, it's a great place for photos
✔️Strange Stone Beach
There are many check-in points, plank roads, reefs, blue bridges can be photographed📸, very beautiful, the sea is not suitable for swimming
✔️White Wave Beach
The surrounding area is very complete with food, drink, play, and accommodation. It's a mature swimming and water play beach, children🏊🏻♀️ can choose this, it's safer
✔️White Sand Bay
A beach hidden in the village, undeveloped, the water is very clean, the sand is very soft, there is not so much commercial atmosphere
✔️Shanxin Beach
There are fewer people, it's quite wide, the view is also very good, a suitable ⛺️camping beach, the water is clean, the beach is soft
-
❓Where is suitable for sea catching
🦀Crabs, shellfish
Choose White Wave Beach, White Sand Bay, Strange Stone Beach, stone crabs, orchid crabs, there are many varieties
⛵️If you want to go out to sea on a fishing boat, you can choose Wanwei Jintan, 200 to go out to sea for fun, 300, 400 for netting (the seafood you catch is yours) about 1 hour
But Wanwei Jintan can also catch the sea, the beach here to catch the sea, relatively speaking, there are more top shells
⚠️: If you want to catch the sea, you have to look at the tide table, otherwise you will be disappointed if you miss it

This is Guangxi, not Vietnam
At Dongxing port, you can see many Vietnamese people wearing green hats. It is said that this is due to the military complex, and also for sun protection due to the climate. Vietnamese people also sell a kind of food called 'duck egg with a bent head', inside the egg is a formed duckling, this kind of egg is said to be very nourishing. There are also many people selling Vietnamese slippers, their slippers are said to be able to be worn for decades without breaking, which is amazing. The shops at the port are all selling Vietnamese specialties, and the Vietnamese food is also authentic

The city bordering Vietnam in Guangxi | Fangchenggang
There is a city in Guangxi, one of the two cities in China that are both coastal and bordering, which used to be under the jurisdiction of Zhanjiang, Guangdong, and borders Vietnam. It is closer to Mang Street in Vietnam than to the capital of Guangxi, Nanning.
This city is called Fangchenggang, located in the south of Guangxi, is a coastal city, borders Vietnam, and is the only city in China connected to the ASEAN sea, land and river.
Fangchenggang was part of the Baiyue land in the pre-Qin period, under the jurisdiction of Xiangjun during the Qin Dynasty, belonged to the Nanyue Kingdom in the early Western Han Dynasty, belonged to the Wu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period, and was named Fangcheng in the fifth year of Kaibao in the Northern Song Dynasty because the local people built a city with wood and soil to defend against foreign invasions.
Fangchenggang City is named after the port, built by the port, first the port and then the city. In 1959, Dongxing County was once under the jurisdiction of Zhanjiang, Guangdong, and Fangchenggang City was established in 1993.
Fangchenggang City has jurisdiction over Gangkou District, Fangcheng District, Shangsi County, and Dongxing City. There are mountains, seas, hills, and tidal flats in the territory, with many scenic spots, making it a very suitable city for tourism.
The most famous scenic spot should be Dongxing Guomen Tourist Area, which borders Vietnam and can go to Vietnam from the land port, integrating tourism, sightseeing and shopping.
Dongxing Guomen was built in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. It is one of the busiest ports in China. Every day, countless Vietnamese come to Guangxi to do business, and countless Chinese go to Vietnam for sightseeing. Vietnamese can be seen everywhere on the street, and Vietnamese goods can be seen everywhere in shops.
In addition to the Dongxing port, there are also attractions such as the No. 5 Boundary Monument of the Qing Dynasty, Ho Chi Minh Pavilion, China-Vietnam Friendship Bridge, and China-Vietnam People's Friendship Park.
In addition to the Guomen Tourist Area, the Wanda Mountain Buto Hot Spring is also a very famous scenic spot in Fangchenggang. This place is surrounded by mountains on three sides and is located in a secluded valley. The spring water gushes out from the rock crevices, contains a variety of trace elements, and meets the standards of medical hot springs. Many locals and people from surrounding areas come here to soak in the hot springs.
Here, a hot spring is like the Huanglong Scenic Area in Sichuan, the Baishui Village in Yunnan, and the Cotton Castle in Turkey. The spring water flows from the mountain to the mountain, forming a multi-level waterfall-like landscape, with blue and white interlaced, very beautiful.
In addition to the Dongxing port, Fangchenggang has another place connected to Vietnam, which is the Beilun River source scenic area in Fangchenggang, which can be described as connected to the mountains and rivers of Vietnam, separated by the Beilun River. There are large areas of mangroves growing in the river, and the opposite bank of the river is Vietnam. There is also a boundary monument from the Qing Dynasty here.
Fangchenggang not only has Wanda Mountain, but also the sea. The bay here is also very beautiful. The more famous ones are Jing Island and West Bay.
Jing Island has three islands, namely Wutou Island, Wanwei Island, and Shanxin Island. This is the settlement of one of China's 56 ethnic groups, the Jing ethnic group, so it is also called the Jing Three Islands.
Surrounding the Jing Three Islands is a 13-kilometer-long beach. The sand is fine and golden, known as the 'Golden Beach'. Here you can see the ocean, beach, forest and crane group at the same time, and the tourism resources are quite unique.
The West Bay is a bay in the urban area of Fangchenggang. There are many high-rise buildings around, the sea water is clear and the beach is soft, and the pier is next to it, which is a rare urban beach.
Fangchenggang not only has many tourist attractions, but also a lot of seafood, which is fresh and cheap, and you must try it when you come here.
If friends in the north want to find a place to live, they don't necessarily have to go to Hainan. Guangxi is also very good, such as Fangchenggang. The winter temperature is between 19-25°, which is not cold or hot and very comfortable. Moreover, there are not many people here, the housing prices are cheap and the consumption is not high, which is very suitable for living and retirement.
Dongxing Beach
This beach town is close to the Vietnamese border and you can cross over to Vietnam from China with the friendship bridge. You can find loads of fresh seafood and many coconuts. It’s an incredible experience.
