Hoegi Station 'Only You See Croissant'
I went to Hoegi Station to meet a friend. As most people know, Hoegi Station is an area with a lot of young people. It is a neighborhood where residential and commercial coexist, with the merit of being a transfer station in an area where Kyunghee University, Seoul City University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies face each other. There are a lot of floating populations and many companies (research institutes), so the percentage of young people is overwhelmingly higher than that of middle-aged people.
If you go straight out of Exit 2 of Hoegi Station, you will find Only You See Croissant. It was originally called '964 Coffee', but the name has changed. This place mainly sells simple desserts, bread, sandwiches (commonly called brunch), coffee, and drinks. The price range for desserts and bread is between 5,000 and 10,000 won, which is not that cheap. Coffee and drinks are also between 5,000 and 7,000 won. When comparing the cost-effectiveness, it is slightly lower.
However, the atmosphere is good. It was created based on the 'exposed interior' or 'concrete design' used in famous Gangneung Terrarosa and Sokcho Chilseong Shipyard nationwide. For those who find the concrete feel dull and gray, they even used soft museum ceiling lights to illuminate the entire cafe.
Overall, there were many seats and it felt like the design was well-made for comfortable resting. There were sofa chairs on the right side of the cafe, so it seemed like it would be comfortable for several people to come and chat. There were also outlets on the left for those who were working from home. The closing time was around 10 or 11 p.m. It was supposed to be open until 12 p.m., but they closed early due to COVID-19.

Really modernism from the signboard to the design
Isn't the first photo signboard too subtle? It gives the feeling of 'I want to go in' while realizing the purpose of the signboard itself. At that time, I was going to meet a friend and bought an iced Americano and a green tea latte as soon as I saw the signboard. It was nice to wait for customers or have a conversation.
After my friend came, I also bought a croissant, but the taste of the croissant itself was... strong in butter. I was personally satisfied, but my friend said it was a little greasy. Did they make the coffee strong because of the buttery taste of the croissant? The coffee tasted like a shot of basic coffee. It was definitely stronger than regular coffee. It was actually good.
Trip.com readers, if you go to Hoegi Station or Dongdaemun-gu, stop by. They don't open late at night, so if you go around 7 or 8 o'clock, it's perfect!! -----
