The temperature difference between day and night is significant in the Flower Lake area, so it's advisable to bring a warm jacket. 2️⃣ Prepare sun protection items such as sunglasses, sunscreen, and a sun hat, as the UV rays are strong in high-altitude regions. 3️⃣ Consider booking tickets in advance to avoid long queues at the entrance. 🚗 The layout of Flower Lake Eco-Tourism Area is unique: the visitor center is located on the northeast side of National Highway 213, while the wetland scenic area is on the southwest side. After entering the main gate, you'll pass through a bustling "Sky Street" lined with shops, then cross a pedestrian overpass over Highway 213 to reach the ticket-checking entrance on the other side. 📹 Recommended Route: The lakeside features multiple attractions, such as "Sunset at Flower Lake," "Fish Playing in Clear Waves," "Dancers of the Snowy Land," "Rainbow After the Rain," "Eye of Flower Lake," and "Lakeside Dressed in Sunset." You can stroll along the boardwalk and admire them one by one. ✅ Surrounding Flower Lake is an endless grassland. In autumn, the golden-green grass contrasts beautifully with the blue sky and white clouds. Along the boardwalk, you'll find various flowers and plants, including purple-red grass, small blue and white wildflowers, and rare species like Saussurea obvallata, Stellera chamaejasme, Polygonum amphibium, and Aster flaccidus. ✅ This is also a habitat for black-necked cranes. If you're lucky, you might spot them, along with other wildlife like falcons, seagulls, musk deer, and bearded vultures. You can also feed birds by the lake and watch flocks of seagulls playing in the water. 🕒 Best Time to Visit: The ideal period to visit Flower Lake is from late June to early July when the sunlight is abundant, the water is crystal clear, and the lakeshore is adorned with blooming flowers, creating a fairy-tale scene. By June, the lakeside becomes a riot of colors, and the lake itself is filled with vibrant blossoms. However, by August, the rainy season sets in, bringing overcast skies and less impressive water views, which might be disappointing.
