Zhuhai Hotel's Premium Cantonese Restaurant! Ten Dishes at Taste of Life.

Tonight, I went to Taste of Life with friends, enjoying ten dishes. The staff first served a pot of tea; we chose Genmaicha Oolong, which had a light and refreshing aroma that paired well with the Chinese dishes. Before dining, we ordered house wine and enjoyed some peanuts while watching the sunset—very chill 🥂 Here are a few dishes I particularly liked ❤️ For appetizers, we had seaweed tofu, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and salted egg yolk prawns, which were savory and flavorful. Cantonese cuisine usually starts with a soup before the main course. We had a soup made with geoduck, night-blooming cereus, dried scallops, and winter melon. The geoduck was fresh and crunchy, and the sweet winter melon made it a perfect dish to beat the summer heat 😬 The abalone and goose feet were quite large 😋 The sauce was made from natural gelatin without any added starch, giving it a smooth texture without being too thick. The most surprising combination tonight was the hot and sour fish cooked in the style of Japanese grilled fish with crispy scales 😍 The crispy scales were delicious. We ended the meal with a serving of Tieguanyin ice cream, making for a perfect evening 👍🏻
