Zhoushan Off-Season Self-Driving Tour | Two Days, Two Nights Day 1: A Comprehensive Guide

On Friday night, a 3.5-hour drive from Suzhou, we arrived at the Dongsha Silk Road Hotel at 11:30 PM. We parked in the free underground parking lot (very safe, but the restrooms were inconvenient). We slept in the back seat, waiting for the sunrise at 6:20 AM the next day. 🌅 📍Dongsha: Off-season ticket price is 10 RMB/person. A top choice for beginners watching the sunrise! Directly east, a vast beach, and swings—few crowds, beautiful scenery, every shot is a masterpiece 📸 (Photos 1-7) 📍Congqianman Seafood Noodle Shop: Try it after sunrise. 38 RMB a bowl is a bit pricey. The ribbonfish and sea fish are good, but the boiled clams and cockles are a bit fishy; those with a local palate should be cautious (Photo 8) 📍Xiaowushitang: Don't drive directly into the scenic area! The 6 RMB/hour parking fee is not worthwhile. Walk along the surrounding roads; there are free parking spaces on the roadside. You can walk to Shitang. However, the pebble-lined sea view was just average; the scenery along the mountain road was much more surprising (Photos 9-12). Checked into the hotel at 10 AM, took a nap, ordered takeout, and did makeup… Fully refreshed, we set off again in the afternoon. 📍Daqingshan Scenic Area Off-season ticket: 55 RMB/person, closing time: 4:45 PM! Arrived at 3 PM, just in time to avoid the strong sunlight. The 10km loop was completed in 1 hour by car. The roadside cafes were very unique. It was a bit messy on a windy day, but the silhouette photos were excellent. We waited until the stunning sunset (Photos 13-17). 📍Banhaiyu Seafood Restaurant The 102 RMB double set meal was incredibly good value! The portions were huge, enough to fill two people up. The food was universally appealing. Dining by the panoramic window on the second floor created a fantastic atmosphere. The restaurant provided drinks and small gifts, and the service was super thoughtful (Photo 18). Tips: Zhoushan beaches are not open at night, so those wanting to take night portraits can skip this option.
