Praying for blessings at Mount Putuo | A concise guide compiled after 3 years of visits

When visiting Putuoshan for blessings, the order of transportation and sightseeing is crucial. This time, I've summarized a new route that avoids backtracking and detours! 🍀Regarding Transportation: (Departing Friday) ❶ Guangzhou T3 Airport ✈️ Ningbo Airport ❷ Ningbo Airport 🚗 Hotel (Taxi/Shared Ride Available) ❸ Hotel 🚗 Zhujiajian Wugongzhi Wharf 🚢 Putuoshan (Island Visit) - 🍀Regarding Island Tickets and Ferry Tickets: ❶🚪🎫: WeChat Official Account - Putuoshan One-Code Pass - Tickets, you can book round-trip ferry tickets plus entrance tickets. Adults 220 RMB, children 110 RMB. - 🍀Regarding the Hotel: We booked the Crowne Plaza Zhoushan. The hotel had a very nice view; the rooms had sea and red-tiled houses, giving it a strong resort feel. The buffet dinner was good, with a variety of fresh seafood. It's a convenient 10-minute drive from the wharf. - 🍀Regarding Park Transportation: You'll see a boarding point as soon as you enter the park. This boarding point is for minibuses to various prayer spots, usually costing 5 or 10 RMB. - 🍀Regarding Routes (See Figure 1) 1⃣️Puji Temple: Take a minibus from the boarding point at the entrance of the park, or walk. It takes about 20 minutes from the island. At Puji Temple, take photos of the "It's good to be here" sign and the "Namo Amitabha" signs on both sides of the temple. 2⃣️Huiji Temple: After leaving Puji Temple, find the boarding point and take the minibus. Then go to the cable car entrance to buy cable car tickets. You can buy round-trip or one-way tickets here. Take photos of the "It's good to be here" sign and pray at Huiji Temple. If you're short on time, you can take the return cable car to Fayu Temple, or walk down the 1088 steps to Fayu Temple. 3⃣️ Fayu Temple: Reputed to be the largest temple, it was quite popular with people praying for blessings. There's a famous "Buddha's Heart Wall" there, a popular spot for photos. 4⃣️ Shancai Cave and Fanyin Cave: These two are adjacent. Take a bus from Fayu Temple to Shancai Cave to pray for wealth. The queues are very long; I waited for almost 3 hours last week. I heard it's much shorter on weekdays. 5⃣️ Guanyin of the South Sea: The Guanyin statue is very large, and the incense is very strong. ‼️‼️‼️ Finally, before leaving the island, recite a prayer facing Mount Putuo: "Disciple [your name]'s trip to Mount Putuo has been successful. So I went back to the hotel to rest and ate at the hotel's buffet restaurant. Surprisingly, the hotel's buffet also had a good selection of local seafood, and it tasted quite good. The best part is, it only costs around 100+ RMB per person. - 🍀Tips‼️ ❶ When praying for blessings, don't walk back, so pray from the bottom of the mountain upwards, symbolizing continuous advancement. ❷ When visiting Shancai Cave, prepare 100-yuan bills ending in 6, 8, or 9.
