Yearly, Two-Day and Night Putuo Mountain Blessing Guide

This year marks my 8️⃣th time coming to Putuo Mountain for blessings. I’m sharing my 2-day 1-night Putuo Mountain blessing guide to help everyone have a smooth blessing journey and have all your wishes come true. 🌈Day 1: 1️⃣ Take the high-speed train 🚅 from Fuzhou (7:45 AM) to Ningbo (11:38 AM), then take a bus 🚌 to Zhujiajian (12:18 PM–2:09 PM). 2️⃣ From Zhujiajian Wugong Temple Pier, take a boat 🚢 to Putuo Mountain Island (2:32 PM–2:54 PM). 3️⃣ Check in 🏨 at CITIC Putuo Hotel, which offers a hotel shuttle bus to the hotel entrance, so you don’t have to queue or walk 🚶🏻‍♀️. 4️⃣ Walk about 10 minutes on a small path 🚶🏻‍♀️ to Purple Bamboo Forest. 5️⃣ First, worship Nanhai Guanyin (closes at 5:00 PM) – if you don’t want to go to Guanyin – Purple Bamboo Forest, then take a bus 🚌 to Puji Temple (closes at 5:30 PM). 6️⃣ After praying at Puji Temple, walk 🚶🏻‍♀️ 1.1 km (about 20 minutes) back to the hotel (since it’s late, the bus from Puji Temple to Purple Bamboo Forest runs every half hour 🙈). 🌈Day 2: 1️⃣ Walk 🚶🏻‍♀️ to Purple Bamboo Forest (7:30 AM), take a bus 🚌 to the pier, then walk 🚶🏻‍♀️ to the Luojia Mountain ticket office to buy tickets and take the boat 🚢 (7:50 AM–10:10 AM). 2️⃣ On the return from Luojia Mountain, walk 🚶🏻‍♀️ to the pier, take a bus 🚌 to Fayu Temple. 3️⃣ Fayu Temple — cable car / Huiji Temple, 4️⃣ Cable car / Huiji Temple — Fanyin Cave / Shancai Cave (After 3:00 PM, no more trips to Fanyin Cave / Shancai Cave; the last return bus is at 5:00 PM), 5️⃣ Fanyin Cave / Shancai Cave — Dacheng Nunnery, 6️⃣ Dacheng Nunnery — pier. 7️⃣ At the pier, contact the hotel staff to help deliver your luggage to the pier, or pick it up yourself at the hotel. The hotel shuttle bus 🚗 will also take guests to the pier. 8️⃣ Take a boat 🚢 from the pier to Zhujiajian Pier, around 4:15 PM. 🌈Tips 📓: 1️⃣ I went in September and didn’t need incense or flower coupons. It might be because the aunt who sued the "Heavenly Court" won. Now, Nanhai Guanyin and Puji Temple entrances both offer three sticks of free incense. 2️⃣ For boat tickets from Zhujiajian Wugong Temple to Putuo Mountain Island, Luojia Mountain boat tickets, and cable car tickets, offline purchase requires an ID card. It’s recommended to buy round-trip tickets online directly. 3️⃣ Scenic area buses accept QR code payments, usually 5 or 10 yuan. 4️⃣ There is no bus from Puji Temple to Shancai Cave / Fanyin Cave or cable car / Huiji Temple. 5️⃣ The bus to Shancai Cave / Fanyin Cave stops running at 3:00 PM. Walking from Shancai Cave to Fanyin Cave is easier; going the other way requires climbing. Shancai Cave requires queuing. 6️⃣ September is the off-season. It’s recommended to stay at a hotel, which is not expensive and convenient with dedicated shuttle service 🚗. The hotel I stayed at is right at Baibu Sand Beach. After dinner, you can take a walk and see the night view of Nanhai Guanyin. The hotel offers breakfast and dinner; dinner service ends at 8 PM. I’m vegetarian, and the vegetarian food was delicious, clean, hygienic, and reasonably priced. Finally, ㊗️ I wish everyone peace and good fortune, and may all your wishes come true.
