#discoversaudimoment Zhongshan Shiqi Catholic Church (also known as the Church of the Immaculate Conception), built in 1942, is a Gothic-style church. Exterior Design: The church faces south, with a green tiled roof and pink limestone powder coating on the exterior walls. The facade is approximately 15 meters high and features a bell tower topped with a 1-meter-high cross. A spiral staircase to the right of the entrance leads to the top of the bell tower. The overall architecture is Gothic in style, but also incorporates Art Deco elements, such as the decorative pointed arches on the upper part of the facade and the three-tiered tapering decorative lines on the cornice of the bell tower. The creamy pink exterior walls paired with mint green window frames are incredibly charming. The morning sunlight slants across the spire; a photo taken from the southeast corner of the church, looking up at the stone steps, frames the entire rose window. No reservation required, admission is free. Entry is permitted; photography is allowed, but please refrain from excessively disturbing those praying.
