Zhenyuan Ancient Town, by the Wuyang River

People say that Zhenyuan Ancient Town has a long history and beautiful scenery, and I've always wanted to visit. We took a high-speed train to Sansui during the off-season, and then took a taxi to the scenic area homestay we booked, Longyin Xiju. Zhenyuan is known as "Nine Mountains Embrace One City, One River Divides the Prefecture and Garrison." The river is the Wuyang River, which flows through Zhenyuan Ancient Town in an "S" shape. The north bank is the old prefecture city, and the south bank is the old garrison city. From a distance, it looks like a Taiji diagram. Zhenyuan is the political and economic center of eastern Guizhou, a transportation hub, and a military town, known as the "Key to Yunnan and Guizhou" and the "Throat of Guizhou." Zhenyuan Ancient Town is a 5A scenic area, and entry is free. The main attractions we visited were the Wuyang River, Zhusheng Bridge, the old prefecture city wall, Qinglong Cave, Shiping Mountain, Heping Village, and Tianhou Temple. The most beautiful scenery is along the Wuyang River. The best places to enjoy the Wuyang River are the second floor of Ziyang Academy in Qinglong Cave and the second floor of Guanyin Pavilion.
