First time checking in at the textbook-famous Huangguoshu Waterfall!

Now you can enjoy three days of free admission at Huangguoshu, and visitors from some provinces can even get a 50% discount on tickets! When we talk about Huangguoshu, it’s not just a single waterfall; it’s actually a huge waterfall group composed of three sections: Tianxingqiao, the Great Waterfall, and Duopotang Scenic Area. Among them, the walking route at Tianxingqiao is the longest, and both the Great Waterfall and Duopotang have added night tours. Night tickets for these two spots need to be purchased separately. If you only have time to visit one, I recommend Duopotang, where you must check out the live-action scene drama "Return to Journey to the West"—it’s quite interesting. In comparison, the lighting at the Great Waterfall is a bit ordinary, so you can skip that. If you walk through the whole area, you’ll really feel that Guizhou is not short of mountains and waters—there are mountains, rivers, and waterfalls, making it feel like you’ve seen all the waterfalls in life! Huangguoshu also offers guest services ranging from ¥288 to ¥1288, with different levels of service content. Each station has a VIP lounge with free fruits and snacks, as well as a separate waiting area. Most importantly, there is a dedicated transportation channel that allows you to tour the entire scenic area more quickly. If you take this special vehicle, you can visit all three spots in about one day. At Tianxingqiao, many local elderly women sell various fruits—be sure to try some! They cost about ¥5 to ¥10 per portion and are very delicious. You probably won’t find them once you leave, as they are seasonal fruits produced locally on the mountain. The large escalator to the Great Waterfall charges an additional fee: ¥30 one way or ¥50 round trip. If you don’t take the escalator, it may take over an hour to walk the mountain path. Also, if you want to visit the Water Curtain Cave, you need to make a separate reservation.
