The route planning is reasonable, making it easy to travel with kids while fully enjoying the waterfall scenery~ 🚗 Family Transportation Guide: 1. High-speed train: Guiyang North to Anshun West (0.5 hours, 46.5 RMB/person), the earliest train is 07:40-08:09. From the exit of Anshun West station, take a shuttle bus to Huangguoshu Waterfall (40 minutes, 22 RMB/person). Tickets can be purchased on Haoxing.com, departs when full, suitable for families who don’t want to drive. Return: The latest shuttle from the scenic area to Anshun West is at 19:00, and the latest high-speed train is at 21:18. Plan your return time in advance to avoid delays. 2. Shuttle bus (Guiyang ↔ Huangguoshu direct line): Departs from the old passenger station, takes 2.5 hours; from Guiyang North Station, takes 2 hours. One-way ticket is 60 RMB/person, round trip 100 RMB/person, tickets available on Haoxing.com. Fixed schedule, no need to worry about finding transportation when traveling with kids. 3. Self-driving: From Guiyang city center, about 1.5 hours without traffic jams, approximately 140 km in total. The road conditions are good. Driving with kids is more flexible, allowing stops anytime for rest or feeding. 🎫 Family Ticket Information: Tickets cost 160 RMB/person, sightseeing bus 50 RMB/person, escalator one-way 30 RMB/person, round trip 50 RMB/person. It is recommended to buy the ticket + sightseeing bus package. The scenic area is large, and the sightseeing bus saves a lot of energy, making it easier to travel with kids. 🗺️ Family Tour Route (about 6 hours total): Big Waterfall (1.5 hours) ➡️ Doupotang (1 hour) ➡️ God’s View Big Waterfall (0.5 hours) ➡️ Tianxing Bridge (the second half is more scenic, 3 hours). This route avoids crowds, has a relaxed pace, and is suitable for leisurely family visits. ✅ Big Waterfall Scenic Area Family Route: 1. Book the Water Curtain Cave route (only buy the uphill escalator): Get off the sightseeing bus ➡️ 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th viewing platforms (enjoy the waterfall from all angles, let kids experience the grandeur) ➡️ Water Curtain Cave (walk through the cave surrounded by waterfalls, kids will be super excited) ➡️ 4th and 5th viewing platforms ➡️ Suspension bridge ➡️ Rhino Pool 2nd waterfall viewing platform ➡️ Horseshoe Pool waterfall viewing platform ➡️ Hero waterfall viewing platform ➡️ Return the same way to the suspension bridge ➡️ Take the escalator uphill ➡️ Exit. Suitable for families who don’t want to walk much. 👀 God’s View Viewing Guide: 1. Get off the sightseeing bus at Doupotang (but do not enter the scenic area), turn left passing the sightseeing bus queue area, cross the road and walk about 10 minutes along the Xiake Pavilion boardwalk to see God’s View. There are four different angles; if you have limited energy, just see one. Don’t force kids to check all. 2. After visiting Doupotang and exiting the scenic area, you can also see God’s View near the shuttle bus stop, which is an easier route. 3. On the sightseeing bus from Big Waterfall to Doupotang, sit on the right side. You can see it a few minutes after boarding without needing to get off, saving time. ⚠️ Family Warm Tips: 1. Bring slippers and raincoats for the Water Curtain Cave. They are also sold at the scenic area entrance at reasonable prices. Slippers are more convenient for kids, and raincoats prevent getting wet from waterfall spray. 2. The Water Curtain Cave requires advance booking. If you forget or fail to book, watch for later announcements from the scenic area as some tickets may be released in limited quantities at certain times. 3. Escalator queues are long during peak season. Adjust according to the day’s situation, choose off-peak times to avoid kids getting impatient. 4. It is recommended to walk the second half of Tianxing Bridge, which has more beautiful scenery. Walking the second half with kids allows enjoying the views without too much fatigue. For how to save energy and reach the second half entrance, consult the scenic area staff. 5. UV rays are strong inside the scenic area. Protect kids with sunscreen, bring enough drinking water and snacks to replenish energy.
