I don't know why, but I haven't visited many places around Nanjing. For example, I haven't wandered around Chuzhou or Ma'anshan to the north. Perhaps these small surrounding cities are not considered tourist destinations. As for the slightly farther cities like Suzhou and Hangzhou, I only visited them for the first time in 2022 due to work. Speaking of Suzhou and Hangzhou, I used to feel that there was no rush to visit them and no particular reason to go. In fact, everything is arranged in the best way; the places you need to go will be arranged for you at the right time. Suzhou and Hangzhou, which are comparable to 'paradise,' are indeed my favorite cities. The impact of visiting them was so strong that I will write a separate article about them later. As a working person without a summer vacation, I still want to enjoy the feeling of a summer break. Since I can't travel far, I decided to explore the nearby areas. So, I set my sights on Zhenjiang Zhaohua Crowne Plaza. A Saturday points room costs 13,000 points, which is equivalent to only 430 yuan. Driving from Nanjing, taking the old National Highway 312, there are no tolls, and it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there. The hotel is located by the river, with a Chunjiang Tide Plaza nearby, which reportedly has a musical fountain on weekend nights. River view rooms offer a view of the river from the room. It is a 1.8 km walk from the hotel to Xijin Ferry, a 1.3 km walk to Beigu Mountain, and a 1.5 km walk to Baibai Ban. To get to Jiaoshan or Jinshan, you need to take a bus or a taxi, but they are not far either. The hotel's layout is somewhat similar to the Qiantang Crowne Plaza in Hangzhou. Opposite the front desk is the lobby bar, the breakfast restaurant is at the back of the first-floor lobby, and the guest room elevators are not connected to the basement elevators.
