There is actually a 'Little Forbidden City' in Zhenjiang

If you are an architecture enthusiast, you will definitely love this place‼️ Filled with classical Chinese palace-style architecture, with flying eaves and steep cliffs🌿, carved beams and painted rafters, majestic and grand,🔴 it indeed has a bit of the 'Little Forbidden City' vibe. This is the Runzhou Daoist Temple in Zhenjiang. Located in the Jinniu Mountain Scenic Area, it is a national AA-level scenic spot. 🐲 The predecessor of Runzhou Daoist Temple was the Sanmao Palace Daoist Temple, which was built during the Sui and Tang dynasties and flourished in the Song dynasty, with a history of over a thousand years. Later, the original site was destroyed, and in 1999, the original Sanmao Palace Daoist Temple and Wong Tai Sin Temple were merged to form the current Runzhou Daoist Temple. This Sanmao Palace is not the same as that Sanmao Palace😆 I came across it by chance before, and this was my first visit! It is really photogenic⛰️🌈 What I love most is the colors of the entire temple. Golden dragons coil around vermilion pillars, and blue-dominated painted patterns overlap between the red walls and tiles. These colors are very classic Chinese colors, and every time I see them, I am amazed by this ancient and ultimate aesthetic.🔴🟢 The ancient buildings, full of historical charm, tell the story of a long history. Under the sunlight, they appear even more magnificent and dazzling. Among the carved beams and painted rafters, every tile and brick carries the stories of time and the wisdom of craftsmen.
