Zhengzhou Dennis Square Intercontinental Hotel

Before living in Zhengzhou for a while, my favorite business district was David City/Wanda City. In the first year of living in Zhengzhou, the news of the signing of the Intercontinental in David City was announced. However, by the time I left Zhengzhou in 2021, this Intercontinental had not opened yet. But returning to Zhengzhou this time, I found that the Intercontinental had finally opened. Upon checking, I discovered it had opened at the end of last year. With an excited heart, I went to check it out. I booked a room in advance and found out the day before arrival that the room had been upgraded to an executive room. Arriving at Zhengzhou East Station, I took a ride-hailing car and drove on the roads of Zhengzhou, feeling both familiar and strange to the city. When I left, many buildings and roads in the Zhengdong New District were still under construction, but this time I found that most of them had been officially put into operation, giving the city an even more metropolitan feel. After more than half an hour, I arrived at the hotel entrance, where the welcome staff helped open the car door and took the luggage proactively. I must say, the service industry in Zhengzhou, especially in the higher-end establishments, has always been quite good. The welcome staff followed a very standard luxury hotel service procedure, informing me that my luggage would be sent directly to the room. I took the elevator to the sky lobby to check in. At around six in the evening, there weren't many people, not the particularly bustling feeling. There were a few tables of guests at the lobby bar, and two groups of guests were checking in ahead of me, with no other guests in sight. The hotel is indeed quite new, with fantastic decor and many high-end, classy decorations placed in the details, incorporating local Henan styles, very beautiful. The front desk was also very professional and courteous, quickly processed my ID card and bank card, and completed the check-in procedures, informing me that they had already upgraded my room and included lounge benefits. They introduced the breakfast and executive privileges and then personally escorted me to the elevator. They were even willing to escort me to my room, but I declined as there were others waiting to check in. The whole process felt very good, and I would say it far exceeded the general standards of the Intercontinental brand. The guest room was very new and luxurious. As an Intercontinental brand, this kind of setup seemed a bit over the top compared to other Intercontinentals I've stayed at. First of all, the decor was very new, and the accessories matched were quite amazing. The room was large but didn't feel empty at all. The whole room must have been over forty square meters, with both the bedroom area and the washroom being quite spacious. The use of various materials was also very solid, and the combination of marble and wood structures gave the entire room a luxurious feel. If I had to point out a flaw, it would probably be that the view from the window was a bit low. During my stay, the nightly price after tax was over 800, and this price combined with the service that exceeded expectations, perfect hardware, and a superior location, I feel it's not an exaggeration to call it the new flagship of the Intercontinental in the Greater China region. Downstairs is David City, and a five-minute walk to Wanda City, with everything you need for dining, entertainment, and leisure, plus various snack streets and business districts nearby, allowing you to fully experience the core of Zhengzhou, which is absolutely fantastic. Zhengzhou is also developing vigorously, increasingly becoming a modern metropolis. Although it indeed faces the problem of population outflow, the development of the city has not stopped. I believe that as the city develops, Zhengzhou will become more and more charming. If you have the chance to come to Zhengzhou, I highly recommend experiencing this David City Intercontinental.
