The Houlong ancient residential houses are in their original state

The Houlong ancient residential houses are part of the Donghu ancient residential houses, but they are more primitive. Some are no longer inhabited, but their once prosperity can be glimpsed, with the oldest being three to four hundred years old. When visiting the national primary school, there is a sign on the right side that says 'Houlong Ancient Residential Houses Group'. Just follow the sign and walk up the steps. Donghu ancient village, a 3A tourist attraction (free of charge), is a traditional Chinese ancient village located in Xinan Town, Zhangping City. It is one of the most famous rural travel destinations in Zhangping and one of the top ten most beautiful ancient villages in Western Fujian! It is also a paradise for sketching enthusiasts. The transportation is convenient; it's a 10-minute drive on an asphalt road after getting off the highway. The blogger has visited three times already, search 'Donghu' on the main page for more introductions, and navigate to 'Donghu Village' or 'Guyun Donghu Scenic Area' to get there. There are at least two homestays in the village, no reservation needed, just go directly. One is opposite the village office, and the other is near the national primary school. However, there aren't many farm stays in the village, so if you don't stay overnight, it's better to go out to the town to eat after visiting. The town is about 2 kilometers away, and the Nanzhou Restaurant (recommended by locals) is recommended, with skull meat as its specialty! Currently, Donghu Village has attractions like water slides and high-altitude glass walkways, but they seem to be not very cost-effective, to each their own opinion.
