Search “Zhisha Zili Holiday Guesthouse (Zimugang Branch)” on navigation to get there directly. If driving, there’s free parking at the door, so you can park and check in with your bags easily. The surrounding environment is amazing! Open the guesthouse door to a vast bamboo forest, hear the rustling bamboo leaves in the early morning, and see the sunset glow on mountain peaks while sitting in the yard at dusk. A small stream is a 2-minute walk away, perfect for splashing water and catching little fish in summer—great for families with kids. The best part is being close to the ticket station, no need to get up early to catch a bus. You can leisurely finish breakfast and walk 5 minutes into the scenic area. No detours needed to Yuanjiajie or Tianzi Mountain, saving 2 hours compared to staying in the city! Indoor & Outdoor Design: The owner has great taste! The entire guesthouse features a Zen style with natural wood and white walls. Outside there’s a small courtyard with rattan chairs, ceramic pots, and succulents. On sunny days, sitting here drinking tea and soaking up the sun makes every photo look like a forest masterpiece. The common area has a book bar with books about Zhangjiajie’s local culture and free Pu’er tea to brew—super comfortable to wait for friends here. We chose the “Mountain View Twin Room,” which is very spacious. Two 1.5-meter beds comfortably sleep 4 people without crowding. All furniture is solid wood, even the wardrobe handles are carved, and local handmade batik paintings hang above the beds, full of detail. The favorite feature is the huge floor-to-ceiling window—open the curtains to see green mountains. Waking up to sunlight and birdsong is 100 times better than an alarm clock. The bathroom has a dry-wet separation, hot water comes quickly and stays stable, and toiletries have a plant essential oil scent, much nicer than disposables. Real Stay Experience: The owner’s family is so genuine! We added them on WeChat a day in advance, received detailed directions, and a reminder to wear non-slip shoes in the park. It rained when we arrived, and the owner helped carry our luggage and even made ginger tea to warm us up. Breakfast is free, featuring Tujia-style cured meat noodles, corn porridge, and native eggs. You can have seconds if you want—I ate cured meat noodles for 3 days straight and never got tired of it. If you don’t want to eat out at night, the owner can cook farmhouse dishes. We ordered stir-fried cured meat with green peppers, cold fern salad, and native chicken soup. For 3 people, it only cost 120 yuan—cheaper and tastier than inside the scenic area. The only thing to note is that it gets a bit cool at night in the mountains, so bring a light jacket even in summer. There’s no elevator, so if you have big luggage, you can ask the owner for help carrying it—no need to feel embarrassed~ Highly recommend this place for friends who want to enjoy Zhangjiajie easily.
