#ChinaTravelMoment #2024WishEvent Zhangjiajie was a travel destination that was even more indescribable in real life than in pictures. The mountains pierce the sky, the fog flows like clouds, and when you take the cable car up, the world looks different! 2 nights is the most ideal, but I went with a plan that allows you to experience the essence for sure even in 1 night and 2 days! ⸻ 🗓 Zhangjiajie 1 night 2 days itinerary ⸻ Day 1 – Completely conquer Tianmen Mountain 🚠 Morning – Arrive at Zhangjiajie & take the Tianmen Mountain cable car After moving from downtown Zhangjiajie to Tianmen Mountain (天门山), we took the world’s longest cable car to the summit (over 30 minutes!) The scenery on the way changes from city → forest → cliff, which is really overwhelming. 👣 AM~PM – Trekking to the top of Cheonmunsan • Glass Path (Glass Road): A cliff path where you can see everything under your feet, a place for horror + thrill + photos • Ghost Stairs (999 Steps): If you see it on a foggy day, it will look really fresh • Cheonmun Cave (Cheonmun Cave): A huge hole made by nature! Spectacular scenery 🍜 Dinner – Moving around the city & Hunan local food • Spicy stir-fried dishes and fish dishes are popular • Perfect for those with strong appetites, the scent of chili oil is the point! • Recommended dishes include ‘Hyangyang Fish (香辣鱼)’ and ‘Stir-fried Pork with Chili Peppers (剁椒肉)’ 🌃 Night – End the day at a city night view or tea house Zhangjiajie city is quiet, but the atmosphere is good even at night It’s great for a leisurely rest at a traditional tea house or outdoor table restaurant ⸻ Day 2 – Avatar Mountain & Glass Bridge 🗻 Morning – Visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park The actual filming location for the movie Avatar! • Yuanjiajie (袁家界): Peaks that pierce the sky, take the cable car up • Tianzi Mountain: The most overwhelming viewpoint • Huangshicai: Wide open view and mysterious atmosphere on a foggy day 📸 Photo points • Mountains seen from the cable car • Trees on the cliffs of Yuanjiajie + cloudy sky • Back view/foot shot/jump shot from the glass bridge 🌉 Afternoon – Experience the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge (玻璃桥) 300m above ground, 430m long The thrill of walking on transparent glass is truly unforgettable. The photos turn out well, and the reactions are the best when you take a video! 🍴 Lunch – Quick meal in the park or go downtown for a meal 🧳 Then go to the airport or train station ⸻ 💡 Zhangjiajie travel tips • Book your tickets in advance! There may be a limit on the number of people, so on-site purchases may not be possible • Sneakers are essential because there are many cable car/shuttle bus rides • Foggy days are even more mysterious… but if it’s too foggy, the view is obscured → Weather check is important • Slippers are provided when entering the glass bridge / Pants are recommended over skirts • Many areas do not allow drone photography → Be sure to check the park regulations! ⸻ ✍️ One-line review Zhangjiajie was just like a “CG set created by nature.” Every moment of the photo came out like a work of art, and the scale was so large that it didn’t feel real even when seen with the eyes.
