A Brief Travel Note on Tianmen Mountain

There are really a lot of people at Tianmen Mountain during the summer vacation, but it gets better after you go up the mountain as people disperse. Because we decided to go to Tianmen Mountain the next day at the last minute, we only got tickets for Line A at 4 PM. I suggest buying the earliest time slot and queuing up early because there are fewer people queuing for the cable car in the morning. Tianmen Mountain has three lines: A, B, and C. Apart from Line A, the other two lines can be taken at any time without following a schedule. If you don't get the desired time slot like us, you can go to the site in the morning to upgrade to VIP for 100 yuan per person. Children over 1.2 meters also need a ticket. We got our tickets at 4 PM and upgraded to VIP, allowing us to enter at 7:30 AM. There is a special elevator to the cable car area. Remember to bring a jacket in the morning as the wind at the top of the mountain is very strong, but the scenery is really beautiful, though foggy. The glass walkway requires a separate shoe cover purchase of 5 yuan per person. It's too short; it feels like you walk just a few steps and it's over.
