[Swiss Exchange Student Tips] Zermatt: Sunnegga Lakes Trekking ❤️

Today, I went on the Sunnegga Five Lakes Trek in Zermatt. The Zermatt <-> Sunnegga Funicular concludes its 2025 season this Sunday, October 11th. If you miss this opportunity, you won't be able to go this year, so I went today, which had the best weather! Highly recommended for anyone in Switzerland this week. The weather in Zermatt is really nice this week~~ Course: Zermatt -> Sunnegga -> Lake 1 -> Lake 2 -> Lake 3 -> Lake 4 -> Lake 5 Time: Leisurely, including time to enjoy the lakes: 6.5 hours (about 4 hours with the gondola) Price: Zermatt <-> Sunnegga round trip: 14 francs (if you don't have a discount ticket, you'll have to pay more ㅠ Swiss Pass accepted) Sunnegga <-> Blauhert round trip: 8 francs (I walked, so I didn't pay this amount) The trek was moderate to difficult for my stamina-challenged standards. I visited after the Sunnegga <-> Blauherd gondola closed and walked this section, but it was incredibly difficult😭 I almost lost my willpower because of the endless uphill climb. I think older people should visit when the gondola is running. Sunnegga <-> Lake Riage offers a free cable car ride, making round trips effortless. We also enjoyed a small playground and lake crossings.👍 Switzerland is smaller than South Korea, so day trips to almost anywhere are possible! Perhaps because it was a holiday, there were a lot of Koreans there.
