Zermatt, the town at the foot of the Matterhorn in Switzerland

I visited Zermatt in Switzerland, a famous resort town located in the Valais region in the southern part of the country. Known for skiing, mountaineering, and hiking, Zermatt sits at an altitude of approximately 1,600 meters at the base of the Matterhorn. On clear days with little cloud cover, you can catch a glimpse of the iconic mountain. Unfortunately, during our visit, the Matterhorn was not visible, but we still enjoyed exploring the charming town with its souvenir shops, museums, and picturesque log cabin streets. The souvenir shops were filled with adorable, Swiss-style items. Zermatt Station is also the departure point for the famous Glacier Express, which was bustling with tourists.
