Baodugu National Forest Park | Encounter a Natural Oxygen Bar and Wild Mountain Forests

Preparation - Ticket information: Tickets are CNY 50. Children aged 6 and under or under 1.2m, seniors aged 70 and over, and active military personnel can enter for free. Minors aged 6–18 can enjoy discounts. - Opening hours: 08:00–17:00. - Transportation: You can drive to the park. Exit at Tengzhou South on the Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway, and take the Zaomu Expressway to reach the park. You can also take Bus 12 or a tourist minibus from Zaozhuang Triangle Garden. Itinerary - Regular route: Enter through the main gate of the scenic area and follow the main road to reach the Bird Park and cable car sign. If you have good physical strength, you can hike up the mountain. It takes about 1.5–2 hours to reach the top, where you can enjoy the natural scenery and the Eighteen Arhat Cave. If you take the cable car, it takes about 10 minutes to reach the top. After enjoying the view, you can walk down the mountain and pass by the Taoyuan Cave. - Leisure route: If you don't want to climb the mountain, you can visit the Chaoyun Bamboo Forest Scenic Area, enjoy the bamboo forest scenery, visit the Chaoyun Temple, and experience the Taoist culture. Main attractions - Baodugu Main Peak: At an altitude of 580.2m, it is the highest peak in southern Shandong. You can enjoy a panoramic view from the top. - Ancient Great Wall Site: Part of the Qi Great Wall from the Warring States Period, it bears witness to historical changes. - Baodugu Battle Memorial Hall: Learn about the battles that took place here during the War of Resistance Against Japan. - Eighteen Arhat Cave: The walls of the cave are carved with Buddha statues with different expressions. - Chaoyun Temple: A historic Taoist temple with ancient architecture and beautiful scenery. Dining and accommodation - In the scenic area: There are snack stalls on the top of Baodugu Mountain, mainly selling cold noodles. There are farm restaurants halfway up the mountain, offering spicy chicken and other specialties. The iron house at the entrance square of the scenic area also serves good stir-fried dishes. - Outside the scenic area: There are farm restaurants in Beizhuang Town and surrounding villages, which are cheap and good. Travel tips - Wear comfortable sports shoes and clothes suitable for exercise. - Wear sunscreen in summer and keep warm in winter. - Follow the rules of the scenic area and do not climb in unopened areas. - Plan your time reasonably to avoid missing attractions.
