Shijiazhuang Flower Viewing | Ten Li Apricot Blossom Valley

The Apricot Blossom Festival at Zanhuang Chessboard Mountain opened on March 26th, and we went to experience it in advance on Saturday, which was the 23rd. Our original plan was to climb Chessboard Mountain, but we were stopped at Xiaduan Village and couldn't enter the mountain. Next to it was the Ten Li Apricot Blossom Valley, where the Apricot Blossom Festival was about to start, so we spent two or three hours there. Navigation: Chessboard Mountain, we arrived at Xiaduan Village at about nine thirty, where a gate prevented us from driving further. The parking lot next to Apricot Blossom Valley was also closed, and we were asked to go back and park in a dirt pit two hundred meters away. Later, when we left around two o'clock in the afternoon, we found that cars could enter the mountain, and the parking lot next to Apricot Blossom Valley had opened. This management was somewhat confusing. Apricot Blossom Status: The Apricot Blossom Valley seemed to be less than half in bloom, and it will be better next week. It's about three kilometers from the starting point to the end. Attraction Sharing: 1. Free of charge, but parking is not very friendly; perhaps the Apricot Blossom Festival had not yet started, and management was not keeping up. 2. The apricot blossom pond at the starting point has emerald green water (although man-made), which, paired with the mountain flowers, is truly refreshing for the eyes. 3. A swing was set up on the apricot blossom trail, probably a derivative of 'That Year Apricot Blossom Minor Rain'. After the flowers bloom, it might be nice to experience a light rain. 4. There are a few stalls selling snacks and drinks. Going deeper into the village, there are also villagers setting up stalls selling persimmon cakes and walnuts. 5. Black goats are climbing experts, and watching them left me drooling. 6. There are also quite a few squirrels, scurrying around in the forest. 7. Nearby is the Wave Slope, said to be beautiful when the apricot blossoms are in full bloom. We went there, but the road was very narrow and difficult for cars to pass, and the flowers were not yet blooming. Although 'Baoshui' is about the story of growing up in a mountain village in the southern Taihang Mountains, walking into the Taihang mountain villages of our Shijiazhuang, you can also find similar scenery and experiences.
